The figure for 2010 is not yet been calculated. The figures above are for the number of people actually on the lists since [year]. A different list is held for each site so it is quite complex. Please note that many people go on the list for more than one allotment, and some have been on so long that they no longer want one. In early 2008 we assessed the whole list and found only 252 individuals on the list. So although the total on the list is over 800 waiting, perhaps only about 300 to 400 people are actually waiting. In addition, plots in Newport were transferred to Newport Parish Council in 2010, and so will no longer be on our lists. Ryde will be similarly transferred in 2011. This will make comparisons with previous years misleading.

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications? No

5) How many new council allotment sites were brought into use in 2010? Please give:

a) number of new sites None b) names of new sites N/A c) total area of new land in hectares N/A d) total number of new plots N/A

Please contact me again if you require any further assistance on this matter and I will do my best to provide relevant help and advice.
