In the Year One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-Three.

An Act authorizing the city of boston to convey to the met- ropolitan DISTRICT COMMISSION CERTAIN LANDS IN THE CITY OF BOSTON. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any contrary provisions of gen- -2 era! or special law, the city of Boston, by its mayor, may convey 3 without consideration to the metropolitan district commission 4 a certain parcel of land held by said city for playground pur- -5 poses and certain parcels of land acquired by said city through 6 foreclosure of tax titles, said lands being located in the block 7 bounded by Rutherford avenue, Union street, Washington street 8 and Austin street, Charlestown district of the city of Boston, 9 for the purposes set forth in chapter seven hundred and seventy- -10 one of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-two.

1 Section 2. Notwithstanding any contrary provisions of 2 general or special law, the city of Boston, by its mayor, may 3 convey without consideration to the metropolitan district com- -4 mission a certain parcel of land held by said city for park pur- -5 poses, said lands being located in the area bounded by Bynner 6 street, Pond avenue, and in the 7 District of the city of Boston for the purposes set forth in chapter 8 seven hundred and seveny-one of the acts of nineteen hundred 9 and sixty-two.

1 Section 3. Such conveyance shall be made only with the 2 assent of the parks and recreation commission and the real 3 property board of the city expressed in each case by vote at a 4 regular or special meeting.

1 Section 4. This act shall take effect upon its acceptance by 2 a majority vote of the city council of the city of Boston.
