FUTURE FORUM PAC ANNOUNCES SUPPORT OF FOUR HOUSE CANDIDATES

WASHINGTON, DC – Future Forum PAC, the political action arm of House Democrats’ millennial-focused group, today announced its financial support of four young 2018 House candidates in crucial districts across the nation.

“These four candidates exemplify what Future Forum is ALL about: New energy and new ideas to move all Americans forward together,” said Rep. , founder of Future Forum. “They understand that millennials – America’s largest, best-educated and most diverse generation – shouldn’t have to feel disenfranchised from our nation’s policy and politics. And these races will be a crucial part of Democrats’ strategy to regain control of the House in 2018 and put a hard check on President Trump’s dangerous policies and erratic behavior.”

Future Forum, launched in 2015, is a coalition of young Democratic Members of Congress focused on issues and opportunities for millennials. Now numbering 27 members, the group has visited almost 50 U.S. cities from coast to coast, listening to young Americans’ needs and concerns: from the student loan debt crisis to the decline of entrepreneurship to dwindling home ownership. These challenges impact the overall health of our economy and cannot be ignored.

Future Forum PAC has raised almost $300,000 since its launch about a year ago, and has contributed about $78,000 to Future Forum members and candidates so far.

Kim, 35, of Marlton, N.J., is challenging Rep. Tom MacCarthur, D-N.J. He served as the National Security Council’s Director for , a point person for coordinating the global war against ISIS. Rose, 30, of , N.Y., is challenging Rep. Dan Donovan, R-N.Y. He is the first post-9/11 combat veteran to seek office in .
