GEOGRAPHY

The province lies between 0°29'S and 04°40'N and from 103°22' - 109°4'E and is one of Indoensia’s many province’s. The islands are bordered with and (North), South Province and Province (South), , and Riau Province (West), Malaysia and West Province (East).

The total area of Riau Islands is 251,810.71 km², but as an island province, its territorial waters covers 95.79% of the total area (241,215.30 km²), the rest of which is the island’s land covering 10,595.41 km². The highest mountain in Kepulauan Riau Province is Mt. Daik standing at a height of 1,272 meters.
