10 Acts of Kindness Report April, 2017’s Grants Rotary Bee

Two veterans are now able to have secure housing thanks to the Salt Lake Rotary’s Acts of Kindness Committee. Helping veterans is always rewarding, especially so for the veterans on our committee.

The committee was also able to make life a bit easier for three of our disabled fellow citizens. A grant was applied to a specific mouse component that makes using a computer possible for a person with persistent tremors. Also, the repair of a window and help with rent enables grantees to move to apartments that better meet their needs.

The committee was also able to help in April with car payments, car insurance and housing costs for four other recipients. In total, last month the Acts of Kindness Committee approved 11 grants. These grants eased the burdens of 27 people. The committee is constantly amazed at the life-enhancing difference a grant of up to $250 can make in peoples’ lives. We wish to thank Rotary for the opportunity to make this possible.
