78. A number of minor changes have been suggested by the Council in response to representations received to the submitted plans. Have these changes now been agreed by the relevant representors?

1.1 Emails seeking respondent’s agreement of minor changes were sent out on the 25- 26th July. The Council has received a number of respondent’s responses as set out below. As at 17th August, most minor amendments have been agreed and can be viewed in Tables 2 and 3 below.

1.2 Table 1: However, 2 stakeholders: Anglian Water (AW) and the Environment Agency (EA) had suggested alternative forms of wording with regards to 3 sites: SPP5- , SSP8- and SPP11-Orford.

1.3 As of 18th Aug, based on updated information EA has confirmed that WRC Gedgrave which serves the Orford site is operating within its Environmental Permit limits and therefore sufficient capacity has been identified to facilitate delivery of the Orford site of 10 units. The EA would still like to see a policy which requires developers to demonstrate there is capacity at the Gedgrave works before they gain planning permission be inserted. Dialogue with both stakeholders is ongoing to develop a position statement which will help developers as and when their sites come forward.

1.4 Regarding WRC , the EA have confirmed that the amount that Anglian Water is operating above the limits of its Environmental Permit has fallen to 289 houses from the previously stated figure of 1,740. Dialogue with both stakeholders is ongoing to develop a position statement which will help developers as and when their sites come forward.
