It is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of Les Coulter who sadly died last Sunday, May 26th 2002.

Les coached the club through some lean times in the late Bo's, joining Keighiey RLFC, in pre-Cougar days, initialiy as assistant to Colin Dixon, before taking over as Head Coach in 1989. Les had awealth of experience in the amateur game and brought many top amateur players to Lawkholme Lane in the likes of Owen Simpson, Terry Manning, Gary Rose, Mark Fairbank, Gary Couiter (son) and Peter Richardson. Other local player's included Jeff Butterfield, Keith Dixon, Joe Bardgett, Rob Proctor and Gary Moorby and Paul Moses of our current Coaching staff.

He left the club after the 1989-90 season later taking up the post of Chief Executive at Huddersfield.
