Tapping inside a text box will make the keyboard appear if it has not done so automatically. Predictive Text Delete Alt Character Shift Numbers Hide Keyboard Handwriting To enter a capital letter, tap the Shift key once, then tap the desired letter. To enter an alternate character from the keyboard, press the desired key and drag down slightly. To erase, tap the Delete key in the top right corner. To use predictive text, start to type, and then select the desired word from the list that runs parallel to the top of the keyboard. To make the keyboard go away, tap the keyboard icon in the lower right corner. Created by Michelle for OLLI@WVU 4 Settings Changing the behavior of your device is done in Settings. There is usually a Settings icon on the home screen of your device, which you can easily add to the dock. Settings is divided into two panes. The left pane displays the available options, and the right pane gives you further details for the option you selected, as well as various toggles for these options. To Check Your Settings 1. From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon. 2. Tap an item in the left pane to display options for that item in the right pane. Accessibility iOS allows you to toggle various options to make the device easier to use when you have vision issues. To Increase the Text Size 1. Open Settings. 2. In the left pane, scroll down until you find Display & Brightness. 3. In the right pane, select Text Size. 4. In the right pane, tap the slider until you find the desired text size. To Increase the Brightness 1. Open Settings. 2. In the left pane, scroll down until you find Display & Brightness. 3. At the top of the left pane, adjust the slider to the right to make the screen brighter. To Increase the Contrast 1. Open Settings. 2. In the left pane, scroll down and tap General. In the right pane, tap Accessibility. 3. In the right pane, select Increase Contrast. As desired, toggle Reduce Transparency or Darken Colors. To Turn on Flash Alerts (iPhone Only) 1. Open Settings. 2. In the left pane, scroll down and tap General. In the right pane, tap Accessibility. 3. In the right pane, under Hearing, toggle on LED Flash for Alerts.     SAFARI Montage CreationStation User Guide SAFARI Montage CreationStation® Overview SAFARI Montage CreationStation is an easy-to-use integrated module that enables schools and districts to upload user-created digital content and licensed media to the SAFARI Montage system's Learning Object Repository (LOR). User types granted upload privileges, such as Student with Upload, Teacher with Upload and higher level user types can add items either individually or in bulk. Once uploaded, content can be meta-tagged with information such as a detailed description, relevant grade ranges and year of copyright, uploads can be correlated to curriculum standards and designated for home access, download, etc. Video and audio content can be segmented into chapters and key concepts, each with their own segment descriptions. Flexible Digital Rights Management provides control over the content to ensure that the correct users have access to digital resources. Media and web links uploaded via CreationStation are fully searchable in conjunction with licensed content, providing a wealth of digital resources that are easily accessible and able to be used with other system features for instructional purposes.     How can I add a calendar feed to my iPhone/iPad? To follow an iCal feed on an iOS device, the basic procedure is to acquire the iCal feed URL from the website, and then add it to the saved feeds on your device. Note: for this article, the procedure is demonstrated on an iPad tablet. Other iOS devices should follow the same procedure, but may appear slightly different on screen. To find the iCal URL for a particular calendar, find the "Export Calendar" button and click it. On the menu which pops open, select "iCal Feed," then on the "Calendar Feeds" window, click "Get Standard iCal URL." If you can perform this step on your iOS device directly, then you can long-press this link to "Select All" and copy it to the clipboard. If you cannot perform this step on your device, you can do this on another computer and simply email or text the link address to your mobile device, and then copy the feed address from there. In either case, you should end up with the iCal feed URL on your clipboard. (If you email a feed URL to yourself, you may also be able to simply click on the link in your email to subscribe to the calendar feed; if that works, you can skip the steps below.)
