MHS Prom Code

Be sure you’re dressed appropriately for… PROM 2021 Gentlemen Gentlemen, if you are not wearing a tuxedo, you need a , dress , a tie, dress slacks, and dress (no and no tennis shoes!). Ladies, because you have SO many choices, your attire becomes more questionable... In this slide show, you should have most of your questions answered. There are lots of lovely out there that will allow you to look like the beautiful young lady you are! Please contact Mrs. Stark in the Junior Office if you have any questions. Short? Short is just fine as long as it’s not shorter than mid-thigh. Mid- thigh is measured from inseam to knee, not hip bone to knee. (The high-low dresses tend to be VERY short in front – be careful!) Bare Midriff? That means you’re not covered from armpit to mid- thigh. These are NOT acceptable! Cut Outs? No cut outs below the natural line on the side or in the front. (Filling in the cut out with sheer material does NOT make it okay!) Backless? It is okay as long as it does not go below your natural waistline. (Imagine your belly button is on your back - that is your natural waistline. Cover it.) Side Slits?

Side slits to mid- thigh are acceptable. (Remember: mid- thigh is measured from inseam to knee!) Strapless? A strapless dress is acceptable, but it can get uncomfortable tugging at your dress all evening! Thank you for your attention to this matter!

If you still have questions, please see Mrs. Stark in the Junior Office. We hope this helps so that your evening is nothing less than perfect!
