I am very honored to welcome you all to this wonderful event.
Two years ago, when we said goodbye to each other in South Africa, we couldn't have imagined what would soon be happening at global level. Organizing in this historic moment an event of such importance and with such international scope is certainly not an easy task, so I am warmly thanking the organizers and the local authorities for their availability and sensitivity in accepting this commitment. I would also like to thank warmly all the athletes and national teams who participated in the event and who, once again, testify to the importance of sport as a social factor.
Long Casting is a spectacular discipline that is generating more and more curiosity and attention. Placed in a geographical framework like Tuscany, I am sure it will conduct to the realization of an important event. Already in 2015, we had the pleasure to welcome you in this wonderful land, on the competition venue of Coltano, and we had the opportunity to let you discover the organizational and touristic potential of this area. I am therefore sure that the event will leave in each of you positive memories of Italy.
At this period of particular suffering of the world's population, I wish to the athletes, coaches, authorities, volunteers and supporters of this sport, to live a week of carefreeness, physical and moral wellness. May sport help us to overcome this moment and confirm itself as a fundamental element for the physical and mental development of humankind!

In my name and on behalf of the Surface Fishing Sector Committee, which I have the honor to represent, I would like to extend a warm and affectionate welcome to all the participants in the 23rd Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship - Seniors and the 7th Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship - Ladies, to be held in Coltano (PI).
Long Casting is an event of great athletic and competitive importance, which puts champions of international interest in competition.
I am sure that the traditional Tuscan hospitality will be greatly appreciated by the athletes, managers, technicians and accompanying persons of all the national teams. The administrative and sporting bodies worthily represent the territory and the awarding of the organization of such an important sporting event will not disappoint you all.
My heartfelt thanks go to all those - authorities, organizers, athletes, technicians and volunteers - who will participate and contribute to the success of the event, at a difficult social and historical moment that requires both commitment and unprecedented enthusiasm.
To all the teams, together with my greetings and those of the Surface Fishing Sector Committee, I also wish them an intense day of sport, fun and healthy competition, regardless of the result.

I would like to welcome everyone to this important and exceptional sporting event. The championship, which will take place in Coltano, in the province of Pisa, concerns a discipline capable of expressing the highest competitive, technical and athletic values on a par with the Olympic disciplines.
We are hosted by the city of Pisa, an Italian city famous for its great historical and artistic heritage and, like all Italian cities, for the hospitality of its people. These premises are fundamental for the success of the event and I am sure that a competitive spirit of great loyalty will accompany this hospitality.
The athletes of the Long Casting have been the protagonists, in recent years, of truly spectacular competitive performances with demonstrations of excellence in technique and physical power. All I can say is "let the best one win".
I conclude by thanking the organizing company, the authorities and all those who will work to make the event a success.

The ASD TOP CASTING TOSCANA, in collaboration with the FIPSAS, has the pleasure to invite your Federation to participate in the 23rd Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship - Seniors that will be held from 21 to 28 August 2021 on the federation venue Mario Filidei of Coltano - Pisa. On the same occasion, the 7th Long Casting of Sea Weights World Championship - Ladies will be held.
The Grand Hotel Golf in Tirrenia will host the athletes' delegations. The hotel is located 20 minutes from the venue and 25 minutes from the centre of Pisa.
The costs of the packages are as follows: All inclusive team package (4 athletes) in full board (lodging, breakfast, lunch and dinner + gala dinner. For the days of competition, a lunch box is provided on the venue. Hotel accommodation will be in double room) € 2.600,00

Anti-doping The athletes participating in the Championships, by registering, they accept implicitly all WADA anti-doping rules. Athlete whose illness or condition requires treatment with a prohibited substance or method must apply to CIPS for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) following the CIPS strict TUE application process. General information
The members of the Ladies teams who wish to do the training also throws monday on 23 August will have at their disposal a venue adjacent to the competition field, which is neither marked nor delimited in any way. It is recommended that the athletes use GPS devices in order to check the distances reached.
Delegations must provide the organization with a CD with their national anthem and two flags of their country.
Gazebo, chairs and a table will be provided for each delegation.

By car: Take the A12 motorway and exit at "Pisa centro" - Follow the signs for Tirrenia - In the green Tyrrhenian pine forest, in the heart of a centuries-old private park of 10,000 sqm. ESSENTIAL ANTI-DOPING ADVICE
Athletes are reminded if they take any medication they must check it against the WADA Prohibited Substance & Methods list.
Particular attention must be paid to the use of anti- hypertensive agents, especially diuretics, which are popular in singular preparation and/or in a combination with other normally permitted drugs.
Diuretics are always forbidden.
For these reasons, it is necessary for every athlete or National Federation to check the list for prohibited substances and process a TUE as necessary. The Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) must be granted before taking a prohibited medication.
An application for a TUE must be requested 30 days before taking part in the championships. The application forms must be filled in carefully with your physician/doctor who must authorise the application. A physician’s certificate or prescription on its own does not mean that the athlete has permission to use the prohibited substance or method.
The application should be completed either in English or French and sent directly to the office of the CIPS President.
