Aniplex of America to Host Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works U.S. Premiere Event in Downtown Los Angeles Theater

Fans to Witness the Beginning of the 5th Holy Grail War on the Big Screen!

SANTA MONICA, CA (September 10, 2014) –Fans of the animation production company ufotable and the Fate/ franchise are definitely in for a treat! Aniplex of America, Inc. recently announced that they will be hosting an exclusive U.S. premiere event for the critically-acclaimed anime series, Fate/stay night. The event will be at the Downtown Independent Theater in Los Angeles on September 28th in partnership with ELEVEN ARTS. Fans will be able to purchase tickets for this premiere event starting today at (http://fatestaynight.bpt.me). Aniplex of America, Inc. had also confirmed Fate/stay night will begin its streaming schedule through Hulu (www.hulu.com) and (www.crunchyroll.com) from October. The specific date, time, and platforms will be announced at a later date.

This Los Angeles premiere event is in conjunction to the Fate/stay night premiere events occurring in multiple countries worldwide. Fans will enjoy the very first episode of Fate/stay night before it airs on television. Attendees of the Premiere Event will receive a Fate/stay night giveaway while supplies last. It has been confirmed by both TYPE-MOON and ufotable that it will be featuring the Unlimited Blade Works arc. This arc will focus on the heroine Rin Tohsaka, her summoned servant Archer, and the situations involving the other participants of the fifth Holy Grail War.

About Fate/stay night Fuyuki City—a city surrounded by the ocean and the mountains becomes the setting for an age-old ritual.

To realize the mythical Holy Grail, which is said to grant any wish from its possessor, seven masters are given seven heroic spirits chosen by the Grail. These heroic spirits or servants are: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker

Each master will enter into a contract with their assigned servants and battle the other masters and servants to the death until only one pair remains…

This is the ―Holy Grail War.‖

Episode 1: Unlimited Blade Works

This story focuses primarily on the heroine Rin Tohsaka. After her father’s death, Rin enters the Holy Grail War as the sole heir to the prestigious Tohsaka Household, with her servant Archer. But, she soon finds out that Shirou Emiya, a boy from her high school has gotten himself involved in the battles and unexpectedly saves him when he is fatally injured. Before long, Rin sets out to strike down the conspiracies surrounding the Holy Grail War along with Shirou and his summoned servant Saber. And so, the story begins to explore the truth behind Shirou’s powers and the nature behind his unyielding will to become a ―hero.‖
