We’ve been having a lot of FUN lately at the Library! In January, Gregory Sumner, author and Professor of History at the University of Detroit Mercy, gave a riveting and interactive presentation of his book Michigan POW Camps in World War II. Patrons of all ages enjoyed the hidden history of Michigan from World War II. Sumner’s lecture 34935 Hidden Pine Drive explored how Michigan became a temporary home to six thousand German Fraser, MI 48026 Office: 586.296.8483 and Italian POWs during that time. It was a wonderful night! We’ll be www.micityoffraser.com welcoming him back to discuss Detroit during Monday—Thursday 8-4:30, World War II in October. Don’t miss out! In February, we enjoyed creating our own candles with craft maven Cynthia 16330 E 14 Mile Rd Fraser, MI 48026 Rindt. We used plain wax and crayons to make our very own votive Office: 586.293.2055 Option 2 candles. Patrons learned how to make their own candles in the future with Mon.day—Thursday 10-8pm, just a few household supplies. Those who were brave enough even added Friday—Saturday 10-5pm some scent to their candles. It was an illuminating evening. www.fraserpubliclibrary.org Facebook: FraserPublicLibrary For birdwatchers in our area, keep an eagle eye on the skies around the E.C. Weber Fraser Public Library.
