SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF OYUT -ERDENE NAMDALDAGVA Ms.Oyut-Erdene is a senior faculty of Mongolian State University of Education. She is a graduate of Uralian State University, Russia and Columbia University, USA. Her specialization is social work with older adults and social administration and planning. Her research areas are gerontology, social work education, management of social welfare programs and projects, community based services, and service utilization. She has extensive experience in project management, NGO management, project monitoring and evaluation, training of trainers projects and consultancy in social work education and community based programs. 1 Gayane SAFAROVA graduated from Leningrad State University (Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics). Since then, she has worked at the same institution – now called the Saint-Petersburg Institute for Economics and Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. At present she occupies a position of Leading Research Scientist, Laboratory of Theoretical Economy. She is also Head of the Laboratory of the Demography of Ageing at Saint-Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, North-Western Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, and a Lecturer at the European University at Saint-Petersburg. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Sc.D. in Gerontology and is the author of more than 120 scientific papers and reports. She was the leader of several projects supported by Russian foundations and has participated in a number of international projects. Her main fields of scientific interest are age structure and population ageing; comparative studies; demographic projections and modeling; family demography; and population policies. She is a member of the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS); the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP); and the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG). Mr. Masaru Uchida Mr. Uchida is a professor of Tokyo Gakugei University, Tokyo, Japan. His major is Human Resource Management (HRM). He had joined many research projects for about 30 years. He focuses on how Ageing impact affects HRM of Japanese companies. He has a Master`s degree in commerce (Keio University), and a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Yokohama City University). Mr. Ai Xiangdong Mr. Xiangdong is the Deputy Director of Shaanxi Provincial Committee on Ageing. Mr. Xiangdong has held various positions as being the Director of communication branch of 18 th infantry headquarter, teacher for Signal Corps Training Centre in Xinjiang Military Region. Mr. Xiangdong was the Deputy Director of Administrative branch of Shaanxi Provincial Committee on Ageing and the Deputy Secretary-General of Shannxi Provincial Committee on Ageing, Chief Editor of Shaanxi Old People’s Newspaper.Prior to his current post Mr. Xiangdong was the Deputy Director of Shaanxi Provincial Committee on Ageing. He has written many articles including The Tendency and Countermeasures of Population Ageing in Shaanxi Province. Yi Zeng’s Summary Biography Dr. Yi Zeng received his PhD degree in Demography from Brass Free University in 1986 and conducted his post-doctorial research at Princeton University in 1986-1987. He is a Professor at Center for Study of Aging and Human Development, Medical School of Duke University ,China Center for Economic Research, National School of Development at Peking University, Distinguished Research Scholar of the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, and a foreign member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. His main research interests are healthy aging, family household and population projections and policy analysis. Up to Sept. 15, 2011, he had 114 professional articles written in English published in academic journals or as book chapters in the United States and Europe; among them, 77 articles were published in anonymously peer-reviewed academic journals. He has had 95 professional articles written in Chinese and published in China; among them, 71 articles were published in anonymously peer-review Chinese academic journals. He has published twenty-three academic books; among them, eight were written in English (three published by Springer Publisher and one by University of Wisconsin Press). .
