(October 17, 2013) — The Roadshow embarks on its sixth annual tour in January 2014 with a new group of all-star musicians. Leading the night are Skillet, Third Day, Andy Mineo, Jamie Grace and Royal Tailor. This tour follows the very successful 2012 "Roadshow" which was named one of Pollstar's Top 50 Tours for Mid-Year 2012. Also included in the evening will be a diverse group of newer artists including Soulfire Revolution, We As Human, The Neverclaim and Vertical Church Band. Noticeably absent from this year’s lineup is the tours’ founding band, MercyMe. "The Roadshow still remains our vision and baby, but we thought it was time for us to take a year off and allow other great bands like Skillet and Third Day to join in the fun," said Bart Millard. "We know fans will continue to support The Roadshow with these great artists. And, don’t worry, we’ll be back on the tour again." This year all seats will be reserved and there will be three ways concertgoers can obtain their tickets. The traditional $10 at-the-door, in advance for $10 at the venue box office during regular hours, or $20 online or by phone. There will be no additional services fees for the tickets, making it an affordable event for the whole family. Tickets will go on sale November 26 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Compassion International and Grand Canyon University will again serve as this year's sponsors for the tour. Compassion International is the world’s largest Christian child development organization serving more than 1.2 million children. Grand Canyon University, founded in 1949, is Arizona’s premier private Christian university offering traditional programs on its growing campus as well as online bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. The tour will launch on the west coast, kicking off in Sacramento on January 9. It will continue to 21 additional markets including Portland, Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas and more before concluding Feb. 16 in Salt Lake City, UT. See the full list of markets The Roadshow will visit listed below, and be sure to stay tuned to www.theroadshowtour.com for the latest tour information. About Skillet Over the course of the past few years, GRAMMY® nominated and platinum selling rock band Skillet has sold more than two million units in the U.S. alone, racked up more than 150 million YouTube views and amassed a diehard following (dubbed Panheads) whose members number over four million on Facebook alone. Their 2013 release RISE debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard Rock and Christian charts, which led to a No. 1 radio hit for "American Noise" and "Sick Of It." RISE also gave Skillet their late night television debut on CONAN. RISE follows the band's 2009 blockbuster, Awake, which was recently certified platinum for sales in excess of one million copies in the U.S and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. In addition, the record hit No. 1 on the iTunes® Top Albums Chart, garnered three Billboard Music Awards and spawned four hit singles including the No. 1 Active Rock smash and gold-certified “Awake & Alive,” the gold-certified "Hero," "It's Not Me It's You" and the platinum-certified "Monster." "Monster" lived up to its name, selling more than a million copies and hitting Top 5 at Active Rock radio (the first in a string of multiple Top 5 active rock hits), while its companion video has generated over 47 million YouTube views. Skillet was the only active rock band to achieve RIAA Platinum Certification in 2012, and was one of only three rock bands (the other two being Mumford & Sons and The Black Keys) to strike platinum in 2012. Skillet is made up of John Cooper, Korey Cooper, Jen Ledger and Seth Morrison. About Third Day During the last decade, Atlanta-based, multi-Platinum rock band Third Day (comprising members Mac Powell, Tai Anderson, David Carr and Mark Lee) has racked up 28 No. 1 radio singles and sold more than seven million albums, including two RIAA Platinum as well as nine Gold certifications. A Georgia Music Hall of Fame inductee (2009), Third Day has garnered 24 career GMA Dove Awards (from 42 nominations), four GRAMMY Awards (with 11 career nominations), an American Music Award (with four American Music Award nominations) and multiple ASCAP honors, including its coveted Vanguard Award, for songwriting. Long known as Christian music’s premier live band, Third Day has played for audiences reaching into the millions all around the world. Third Day has been featured by top media outlets including “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (NBC), “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (CBS), “60 Minutes” (CBS), ABC’s “Nightline,” USA Today, the New York Times and even graced the cover ofBillboard magazine, which called Third Day “one of the best rock bands, period.” About Andy Mineo: Whether he’s on stage bringing an audience to its feet with his riveting performance or off stage fielding interview questions with a potent combination of intellect and wit, it’s obvious Andy Mineo is a born communicator and hip hop music is his instrument for reaching the masses. That musical authenticity, heart for people and keen insight into the human condition coalesce on Mineo’s Reach Records debut Heroes for Sale. About Jamie Grace 21-year old singer-songwriter Jamie Grace made a remarkable entrance with the help of multiple GRAMMY® winner TobyMac who signed her to Gotee Records. During the time of the release of her debut project, One Song at a Time, Jamie balanced her time between her career as a touring artist and college. While her album propelled her to win her first GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year and receive her first GRAMMY® and Billboard Music Award nominations she also performed on the Women of Faith's REVOLVE tour, TobyMac's HITS Deep Tour and the highly attended 44-city Winter Jam Tour Spectacular. Hailing from outside of Atlanta, she was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age 11 and has since traveled the country sharing her story and faith through music and speaking. Jamie Grace has since graduated from Point University with a degree in children’s ministry and recently released her new hit single "Beautiful Day" from the highly anticipated upcoming follow-up album to One Song at a Time. 2014 Rock & Worship Roadshow Tour Dates (*Dates Subject to Change and please note line up may adjust in various markets) January 9 Sacramento, CA Sleep Train Arena January 10 Portland, OR Moda Center January 11 Spokane, WA Spokane Arena January 12 Tacoma, WA Tacoma Dome January 16 San Jose, CA SAP Center January 17 Anaheim, CA Honda Center January 18 Phoenix, AZ US Airways Center January 19 Las Cruces, NM Pan American Center January 23 San Antonio, TX AT&T Center January 24 Dallas, TX American Airlines Center January 25 Wichita, KS Intrust Arena January 26 Omaha, NE Omaha Civic Auditorium January 30 Madison, WI Alliant Energy Center January 31 Louisville, KY KFC Yum Center February 1 Ypsilanti, MI EMU Convocation Center February 6 Springfield, MO JQH Arena February 7 Mobile, AL Mitchell Center February 8 Bossier City, LA CenturyLink Arena February 9 Lubbock, TX United Spirit Arena February14 Fresno, CA Save Mart Center February15 Las Vegas, NV Thomas & Mack Center February16 Salt Lake City, UT Maverik Center About Compassion International Compassion International is the world’s largest Christian child development organization that permanently releases children from poverty.
