SANTACRUZ NOTICE OF THE SIXTY - NINTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING The Sixty-Ninth (69th) Annual General Meeting of the Chitrapur Saraswat Education & Relief Society (Regd.) will be held in Shrimat Anandashram Hall (Saraswat Club), Saraswat Colony, Santacruz (W), Mumbai – 400054, on 26th July, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., to transact the following business: 1) To confirm the minutes of the last Annual General Meeting held on 24th August, 2014. 2) To receive from the Managing Committee the Report of working of the Society and the Audited Balance Sheet and other Statements of Accounts for the year 2014 - 15 and to adopt the same. 3) To receive the Report of the Hon. Auditors. 4) To elect four members on the Managing Committee for the year 2015 - 16 in place of Sarvashri Kishore Bijur, Aroon Padbidri, Ashok Hemmady, Sunil Kaikini & Satish Kalle who retire by rotation and are eligible for re-election. Members desiring to be on the Managing Committee should communicate in writng to the Hon. Secretary at least 3 days in advance. 5) To appoint Hon. Auditors for 2015 – 16 and to fix their honorarium. 6) To consider any other business presented before it by the Managing Committee or brought forward by any member after seven days clear notice or with the permission of the Chairman of the meeting. (c) List of Endowment Funds received during 2014-15. (pages 42). (d) Particulars of Educational Aid paid – Appendix ‘A’. (page 45). (e) Particulars of Distress Relief paid – Appendix ‘B’. (page 46). (f) Particulars of Medical Relief paid – Appendix ‘C’. (page 51). (g) List of Members – Appendix ‘D’. (page 52). The Honorary Members total stands at 25. We also received ` 1,49,000/- towards Educational Aid and ` 1,49,000/- towards Distress relief from Saraswat Foundation, USA. and ` 11,500/- from Nilekani Memorial Relief Trust, Sirsi, for Distress Relief. Each institution was given the number of applications corresponding to the funds available with the particular Institution. The Institutions are 1) Chitrapur Saraswat Education & Relief Society, Santacruz (W), 2) Kanara Saraswat Association, Grant Road, 3) Saraswat Educational & Provident Co-op Society, Santacruz (E), 4) Saraswat Mahila Samaj, Gamdevi, 5) Shrimat Anandashram Ordination Golden Jubilee Fund, Shirali, & 6) Shree Trust, Karla. We have also disbursed Educational Aid to fifty applicants from Saraswat Poor Students’ Fund, Mangalore. 5 ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: We place on record our profuse thanks to M/s. Karnataka State 581 354 Important Announcement for Sādhaka-s holding Foreign passports and Overseas Sabhā-s/ Overseas Entities In terms of the current FCRA Regulations and Guidance in force, all Indian entities receiving remittances from Foreign sources (foreign passport holders and entities set up abroad) are required to open a new Primary FCRA account with the State Bank of India (SBI), New Delhi Main Branch before 31st March 2021. Thereafter, remittances from such foreign sources will have to be received only in this account with SBI. Shrī Chitrāpur Math and its affiliated Entities who are registered under FCRA, have applied for opening of such Primary FCRA Account with SBI NDMB, and are awaiting the formalities to be completed in the near future. Therefore, as of now, Shrī Chitrāpur Math and its Affiliated Entities are not in a position to accept any Donation, Vantigā, Math Maryādā, Sevā Charges, Gīrvāṇapratishthā (Prabodhaḥ- Ārādhana/Gīrvāṇavaikharī) donations, or funds for any other purpose from any foreign passport holder or any of our Overseas Sabhā-s / Overseas Entities, after 31st March 2021, till the formalities of Account opening with SBI are completed. Since any violation of this rule could have serious consequences for SCM and its Affiliated Entities, sādhaka-s holding foreign passports are urged, until further notice, to refrain from transferring any funds to FCRA accounts in India on account of the above heads, or for any other purpose. To ensure FCRA compliance and prevent inadvertent credits into the FCRA accounts of our different Trusts after 31st March 2021, the FCRA accounts of the various Trusts have been frozen.
