Autographed 2008 “Women of Clear Lake” Calendar (Bonnie Brown, Judy Johnston & Mary June Augspurger) The second and final edition of a two year series - an autographed copy of the 2008 Women of Clear Lake Calendar. This much sought-after collection of seasonal photos features 92 Clear Lake women who appear to be “au natural”. Spring, summer, fall, and winter have all been captured in outstanding, and sometimes “nippy”, scenery.

3. Autographed Calendar Girl Collector Book (Bonnie Brown, Judy Johnston & Mary June Augspurger) A 40-page hardbound autographed Calendar Girl Collector Book of all 140 women that were photographed during 2006 and 2007 for the Women of Clear Lake Calendars. This is a special collection of photos that feature our favorites, plus many that were not used in the calendars. The dust cover is a collage of our many newspaper stories from all over the country. This book is a labor of love for the creator, Judy Johnston, and is sure to be your Calendar Girl favorite.

4. Kasota Island Picture signed by Brady Quinn (Doug & Ann Schultz) A 21”w x 17”h framed picture of a Kasota Island postcard, autographed by Brady Quinn #10 (the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback and former Notre Dame quarterback), recalling his ‘good times’ at Clear Lake, dated June of ’07.

5. Antique Kasota Island Picture (Emma & Alan Brown) An antique 7”H x 17”L framed picture of Kasota Island.

6. 9 Original, Uncirculated CL Postcards (Rick & Joyce Eckert) These 10 Clear Lake postcards (9 on display, plus a bonus card), which date to 1946-1947, are original cards that were de-accessioned by the Lake County Discovery Museum, and therefore in MINT condition and have never been in circulation. These cards are from the Curt Teich Archive Collection of the 1930’s & 40’s, during which time they were the world’s largest producer of postcard views. Watch for another surprise or 2 on this item!!!

7. Antique Chair w/Handhooked CL Seat (Orabelle Densel) A small antique rocking chair that came from the Perrine cottage and the seat shows off a hand-hooked Clear Lake design by Belle Densel.

8. 1950 Rieke Sailboat (Kevin & Lynne Eicher & Family) Built on Clear Lake for Wilmer Eicher, Jr. Wilmer sailed it competitively for 20 years at the Yacht Club races.

9. 3-Liter Bottle of Piper Heidsieck Wine (Cricket & Tereasa Gay Tony & Beth Gay) The donor requests that this bottle of wine be purchased with the intent to present to Bill Geiger/Bob Lewis for opening at the party to celebrate the purchase of Kasota Island. Minimum bid is $200.

11. 1 Week on the Mexican Riviera (Karen Hughes) Spend a fun week at the 5-star Royal Haciendas, the newest of Royal Resorts. These acclaimed vacation villas are located on the Mexican Riviera, just north of Playa del Carmen and 15 miles south of Cancun. This 2-bedroom/2bath villa sleeps up to 8 people and features a whirlpool off the master suite. Spend the first week of January, 2009, at this laidback resort, or trade this week (for about $100) for the fall of ’08 at another of Royal Resorts fine locations in exciting Cancun or Curacao. 12. 1 Week in (Rick & Cathy Johnston) This 2008 week on the south shore of Lake Tahoe is great for either summer or winter activities, as the resort is 10 minutes from Heavenly ski resort. This unit sleeps 6-8. The master bedroom has a king bed with a full bath that includes a Jacuzzi. One bedroom is a lock-off unit that sleeps 4 with its own full bath. The main room has a fold-out (sleeps 2 children or 1 adult), a TV w/DVD, and a small balcony. And of course, a full kitchen, if you want to cook in. This is a floating week for 2008 (Fri-Fri or Sat-Sat), and is on a first-come basis. So get your request in soon, for the best chances of getting the week that’s right for you!

13. 1 Week in Emerald Isle, North Carolina (Bernie & Paula Kaufman) “Splash” is a vacation home fit for 12. It is a 3-minute walk to one of the most sought-after family beaches on the east coast. You can walk for miles and view magnificent sunrises and sunsets. This home is well-equipped with all of the comforts of home and many other amenities, including a private pool, hot tub, golf cart, and Internet service. Enjoy 9 days (2 week-ends and the middle week) hiking or bicycling the many trails including the Calumet Trail. Visit ‘Mount Baldy’, Indiana’s only “live dune”. There can be quiet nature all around you, which is great birding, or a 5-minute walk to Lake Michigan and our 2-mile-long private pristine beach with their unique “singing sands”. Lake Michigan charter fishing boats, golfing, tennis, and a playground nearby. Back to Chicago – the Navy Pier, museums, parks, theater, dining, and shopping – if you don’t want to drive it, take the South Shore electric railroad to downtown Chicago, and enjoy! Antique Golf Clubs (Dave & Judy Russert) In 1949, Fred Corcoran, a sports promoter from Boston, got the idea to put together a group of professional women golfers, and call the group the Ladies PGA. In August of 1950, the articles of incorporation were drawn up making the LPGA official. The largest total purse for a tournament at that time was $5,000. Among those founding ladies were: Alice Bauer, Patty Berg, Marlene Bauer Hagge, Louise Suggs, Babe Didrickson Zaharias, and BETTY JAMESON, whose name is on these clubs. The case is new, the clubs are original. Approx Value is $150.

Sherry is the daughter of George Pollard (deceased), a well-known portrait artist. The piece is signed by the artist, and it was purchased for $1,500 in 1985 at a juried show in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

320. “The Barn Raising” Painting (Tom & Sally Eckrich) “The Barn Raising” is a 16” x 20” (including the original frame, measuring 22” x 26”), original painting by Amish artist Emma Schrock, who lived near Napanee, Indiana, and is now deceased. Emma was crippled, and used her talents to paint. One of her paintings has been found in Shipshewana for $400.

321. Framed Lithograph “School Chums” (John & Nancy Wilhelm) At 22”h x 27”w, “School Chums is a signed and numbered (272/1,000) lithograph by watercolor artist, Julie Dawson of Birmingham, Michigan. Julie captured the essence of these children going to school in Kenya. Framed and double-matted.

Framed Lithograph of Maude, the Zebra (John & Nancy Wilhelm) At 22”h x 28”w, “Maude’s in Love” is a signed and numbered (90 of 300) lithograph by watercolor artist, Julie Dawson of Birmingham, Michigan. Maude reflects Julie’s unusual ability to capture the expressions of wild animals and the texture and hair. Julie believes that “the eyes are important, as they tell who lives inside a body.” Maude posed for Julie while she was in Africa on one of her extended trips to watch and capture the essence of wild animals. Framed and double-matted with UV glass to eliminate sun fade.
