PROFILE OF HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT Dr.Shankar B.S is presently working as Vice- Principal, Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management, . He has graduated from the BMS College of Engineering, obtained his Masters Degree from .His Ph.D was in the field of Groundwater contamination, which happens to be his main Research thrust area. He is guiding Ph.D students. Apart from being invloved in active research, he has been in the teaching field from 27 years. He has delivered several invited talks in prestigious institutions and conferences. He has 80 National and International Research Publications including prestigious peer-reviewed scopus indexed journals like the Springer and Elsevier.
