*Briar Cliff University is on a trimester system, which consists of three 10 week semesters. Full time enrollment is from 8 to 12 credit hours per semester, or 24 to 36 credit hours per academic year. To determine FTE the part time hours are divided by 10. This differs from the formula used by two semester schools that divide their part time hours by 12. Using the 10 as the divisor makes the FTE comparable for both kinds of institutions.

Adjusted Total Enrollment is caluclated by adding: (the Total Full Time student enrollment reported) plus (the total Part-Time Student Credit Hours Reported divided by 12 for undergraduates, 9 for graduates, and 9 for professional students)
