Librarians are pupils who are given the responsibility to put the books back correctly on the shelves. Two li- brarians are given a Rota to attend on a certain day of the week. We have fiction books and non-fic- tion books. We also have atlases in the library and there are chairs for pupils to come and sit down and read a book if they want to. There is a suggestion box for pupils to use; this is for pupils to put their book ideas in so we can have the idea of what books to buy and put them in the library.

By Joshua Fowles and Alyssa Donskoy

On the 24th of February Year 4/5 and Year 5/6 went to have safety talks with Mrs. Bird. She made an example of what would happen if you didn’t wear a seat belt. Mrs. Bird had a slope, 2 cars and 6 ragdolls but in one car there were 3 ragdolls. First Mrs. Bird put one of the cars on the slope with the ragdolls inside they didn’t have any seatbelts on and then the car came catapulting forward. Then Mrs. Bird got another car and inside there were 3 ragdolls with seat belts on, when Mrs. Bird let go of the car the rag dolls didn’t catapulted forward. The families in the toy cars were called the forgetful family and the smart family the smart family had their seat belt on and the other family didn’t. The demonstration was fun but REMEMBER you should always wear a seat belt when you are in a car. Bailey Wilde commented that “it was very interesting and it was a brilliant talk”.
