Studi Pemanfaatan Teknologi Openstreetmap Untuk STUDI PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI OPENSTREETMAP UNTUK PEMBUATAN SISTEM INFORMASI LOKASI PERSEBARAN CAFÉ (Studi Kasus: Kecamatan Lowokwaru, Kota Malang) Harisma Ashidiqi Kusuma1), Deddy Kurnia Sunaryo, S.T., M.T.2), Bagus Subakti, S.T., M.Eng.3) 1) Mahasiswa Teknik Geodesi Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang 2) Dosen Pembimbing I Teknik Geodesi Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang 3) Dosen Pembimbing II Teknik Geodesi Institut Teknologi Nasional Malang ABSTRAKSI Kebutuhan akan informasi semakin hari semakin tinggi dan informasi adalah salah satu bagian terpenting dalam perkembangan teknologi kehidupan manusia. All views and opinions expressed therein remain the sole responsibility of the author, and do not necessarily represent those of the Faculty. ABSTRACT The emerging paradigm of Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI) in the geospatial domain is interesting research since the use of this type of information in a wide range of applications domain has grown extensively. It is important to identify the quality and fitness-of-use of VGI because of non- standardized and crowdsourced data collection process as well as the unknown skill and motivation of the contributors. Assessing the VGI quality against external data source is still debatable due to lack of availability of external data or even uncomparable. Hence, this study proposes the intrinsic measure of quality through the notion of credibility.

Falc~aoa a Laboratory of Image Data Science, Institute of Computing, University of Campinas, Campinas, Brazil; b Laboratory of Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing, Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands ARTICLE HISTORY Compiled September 18, 2020 ABSTRACT This is a preprint of the paper published in the International Journal of Geographical Information Science. The publisher version can be found here: https://doi.org/10.1080/13658816.2020.1814303 Locating populations in rural areas of developing countries has attracted the atten- tion of humanitarian mapping projects since it is important to plan actions that affect vulnerable areas. Recent efforts have tackled this problem as the detection of buildings in aerial images. However, the quality and the amount of rural building an- notated data in open mapping services like OpenStreetMap (OSM) is not sufficient for training accurate models for such detection. Although these methods have the potential of aiding in the update of rural building information, they are not accurate enough to automatically update the rural building maps. In this paper, we explore a human-computer interaction approach and propose an interactive method to sup- port and optimize the work of volunteers in OSM. The user is asked to verify/correct the annotation of selected tiles during several iterations and therefore improving the model with the new annotated data. The experimental results, with simulated and real user annotation corrections, show that the proposed method greatly reduces the amount of data that the volunteers of OSM need to verify/correct.

Case Western Area. - DRAFT Luis Hernando AGUILAR RAMIREZ [email protected] / [email protected] Introduction This document describes the use of Open Software and Open Data to provide support on navigation to the ambulances and support cars that works on the Ebola Virus Disease Response in Western Area (urban and rural) in Sierra Leone. It describes the use of mobile solutions, printed maps and laptop apps to provide accurate information useful for localization of the services and probable EVD cases in the most populated district in Sierra Leone, and operated by Handicap International. Also is an orientation to other districts to implement similar processes with similar objectives. The solution is oriented on using Open Code Software and OpenStreetMap cartography, produced by Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT). Please refer to acknowledgement section for details. SUPPORTING ROUTE CHOICES VIA REAL-TIME VISUAL TRAFFIC INFORMATION AND COUNTERFACTUAL ARRIVAL TIMES BY DAEHAN KWAK A dissertation submitted to the Graduate School—New Brunswick Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy Graduate Program in Computer Science Written under the direction of Badri Nath and approved by New Brunswick, New Jersey May, 2017 ABSTRACT OF THE DISSERTATION Supporting Route Choices via Real-time Visual Traffic Information and Counterfactual Arrival Times by Daehan Kwak Dissertation Director: Badri Nath Mobility plays an integral role in modern lives, yet with the ever-expanding number of cars, traffic congestion poses various negative effects, causing vast economic loss, air pollution, and commuter stress. As live traffic information is becoming ubiquitous, route guidance systems are used to inform drivers of route capacities to avoid traffic congestion. Navigation systems compare several different routes and provide the user with options to choose from, from a list of best possible route recommendations. Drivers’ route choice decisions are typically based on the route that minimizes their travel cost (e.g. travel time). However, there are three main limitations for route guidance and information systems. First, as travel time reliability plays an influential role in the driver’s route choice decision-making, the difference in the travel time estimations and/or recommended routes may vary across navigation systems, which can contribute to the uncertainty in the route choice. Second, as the estimated travel time is the dominant deciding factor in route choice, the impact of uncertain, inaccurate, and variable travel time estimations can render it useless, negatively influencing the drivers’ compliance to ii the information system’s recommended route.
