WGBH – Keep It Social, Boston, MA February 2020 – September 2020 Digital Associate Producer, Co-host, Co-editor Headed a four-episode pilot turned 40-episode digital broadcast to produce hard-hitting stories centered around relevant social and civil topics in America; successful conception has led to an increase in social media engagement and interviewing notable athletes and Forbes business owner. • Skyrocketed social media engagement on multiple social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, & Instagram, by more than 75% with no active sponsorships. Monitored analytics to increase engagement. • Led the strategic planning initiative to pivot the show, Keep It Social, from traditional broadcasting to digital broadcasting amid COVID-19 pandemic. • Supervised and collaborated with the Production Assistant to produce engaging graphics, video clips, and call outs. • Managed the day-to-day operations, including researching news content, booking talent, assist with production, write, edit, and script stories, and co-host Keep It Social.

WBZ | CBS Boston, Boston MA August 2019 – January 2020 News Apprentice Earned leadership praise for researching a variety of topics and developing a deeper understanding of news production and media management. • Oversaw the production of Amazon Echo updates for the Noon and 5:00 evening show, updating viewers on news happening in the Boston area. • Covered stories across various topics, including gathering information from interviews from city locals via satellite or face-to-face. • Wrote, edited, and produced stories/scripts covering politics, education, business development, art and entertainment, etc.

Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project, Atlanta, GA July 2015 – March 2018 Research Investigator Conducted research for the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Project (CRRJ) at School of Law; sought to support policy initiatives on anti-civil rights violence in the United States that occurred in Mississippi from 1930 – 1970. • Investigated, publicized, and remediated four cases of racial homicide. Produced and edited a podcast – The Red Record – highlighting the findings of the Hosea Carter case. • Conducted thorough research of lynching(s) that occurred in Mississippi. Interviewed the 6 – 9 family members of the victims.

Northeastern University – John D. O’Bryant African American Institute, Boston, MA January 2019 – May 2019 Graduate Assistant, Programming Streamlined processes to execute large-scale programming events on campus; served as a mentor for students academically, socially, and professionally.

• Organized and executed social engagements, including an annual pageant awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a male and female student, and events enhancing the mental, physical, and educational wellbeing of students. • Supervised, mentored, and/or trained two first-year graduate assistants and 4 – 6 student assistants. • Oversaw operations and logistics for more than 30 events, including venue set-up, ordering food, securing key- note speakers, etc.

WGBH – Basic Black, Boston, MA January 2019 – May 2019 Production Intern • Pitched hard-hitting stories to production staff about the experiences of Black and Brown people in the area, increasing listenership dramatically. • Assisted production crew with all elements of production, including editing, producing, obtaining guest clearances, tracking audio, and developing engaging social media posts.

WRBB Radio – Northeastern University, Boston, MA September 2018 – April 2019 Co-Creator, Co-Founder • Co-created, wrote, directed, and produced the Black in Boston Podcast, having secured a partnership with WRBB for distribution. The Black in Boston Podcast became the most listened to media for the radio, increasing listenership by approximately 15%. • Promoted and curated visuals for the show on social media; cultivated open dialogue with audience members to incorporate audience interests/experiences.

News Watch – University of Mississippi, University, MS January 2017 – August 2018 News Anchor • Covered top news stories for the institution’s 5 o’clock show. Stories included issues related to food insecurities, music, Black culture, and university events. • Redefined and established a strong media presence for the show, developing strategies to engage and increase viewership more effectively. • Produced scripts for web videos, and edited news packages for the air.

News Watch – University of Mississippi, University, MS August 2016 – December 2016 Broadcast Specialist • Collaborated with Communication Specialists to design, produce, and distribute news and social packages. • Developed online promotion strategies and content for student-centered programs and organizations – achieved a 12% growth rate in content engagement. • Created campaigns focusing on Black student life, policing on campus, graduation, and campus safety measures.
