About the NBA (National Basketball Association) Do You Want to Learn About the NBA (National Basketball Association) Do you want to learn about the greatest sport on Earth? There are a lot of cool facts about the NBA. Would you like to hear them? There are many teams in the NBA. There are 30 teams in the NBA. every team is divided into two conferences. Called Eastern conference and Western conference. In both conferences there are 3 divisoins.In the Eastern the 3 divisions are called, Atlantic, Central, and Southeast. The Western divisions are called Northwest, Pacific, and Southwest. Each NBA team plays 82 games per year. Throughout NBA history, there have been many great players. The current great players of the NBA are Kawhi Leonard, Lebron James, and Stephen Curry. Kawhi Leonard Lebron James Stephen Curry The 80’s 90’s great players of the NBA included Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson. Michael ¨Air¨ Jordan Larry¨Legend¨Bird Ervan “Magic” Johnson And the all- time- greats from the 50’s 60’s 70’s were Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russel, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers are the teams who have won the most championships in the whole entire NBA! Over the years the Chicago Bulls have won 6 championships. The Boston Celtics have won 17 championships and the Los Angeles Lakers have won 15. In the history of the NBA there have been many great individual achievements. Some of the greatest individual achievements are Michael Jordan´s 6 championships in 8 years, Bill Russell's 11 out of 13 championships, and Wilt Camberlain´s 100 points in one game. I hope now you know that basketball is the greatest sport on Earth. .

    Vipers’ Head Coach Resigns Larry Brown resigns from his position due to medical issues Florence, SC – February 12, 2014 – The Pee Dee Vipers’ Head Coach, Larry Brown, has resigned from his position as a consequence of medical concerns and precautions. Brown and the Vipers took into consideration the long-term health of Brown and productivity of the team when making this decision. Brown does not feel that he can adequately provide the Vipers with the standard of coaching he is accustom to contributing and focus on improving his health at the same time. The entire Vipers Organization backs Brown in his decision and will continue to support him during his journey to good health. Andre Bovain has been named Head Coach. Bovain served as the Vipers’ Assistant Coach under Brown. NBA legend and Columbia, SC native, Xavier McDaniel will be one of the Vipers’ assistant coaches. Bryan Hergenroether will also join the Vipers’ coaching staff. The Vipers’ new coaching staff will leave much of what Brown has developed in place; plays and structure will be similar.
