The Year of the Ox began on a rousing note for the management and staff of Jurong Shipyard as they welcomed blessings and good fortune for the year ahead during a special luncheon gathering on February 6, 2009.

Attended by more than 300 personnel, the joyous occasion was launched with the lively performances of two fortune lions followed by the opening speech by Jurong Shipyard’s Managing Director Mr WS Wong, who encouraged everyone to stay positive, focused and resolute in the year ahead.

Besides tucking into a delectable buffet spread, employees participated enthusiastically in the game and lucky draw segments, in which more than 30 gift hampers and prizes, generously contributed by the various departments, were given out.

The event was a huge success, providing employees an excellent platform for cross-cultural interaction and the strengthening of ties within the Jurong Shipyard family. Receiving the top prize from Managing Director Mr WS Wong.
