3.00 pm Tour of the Burren, including Portal Dolmen tomb

Monday 12th November

Welcome to and tour of campus 9.00am Comfortable Lecture on Education system in Ireland and comparisons with U.S. clothes/shoes 10.15am system with President of MIC, Prof. Eugene Wall TBC Rain-gear (depending on 11.15am Meeting with MIC Curriculum Development Unit weather)

2.00pm Visit to local secondary school

Tuesday 13th November 9.00 am – 2.00 pm Visit to various primary schools in the area Comfortable clothes/shoes 2.00pm-4.30 pm Visit to Northside Learning Hub Rain-gear (depending on Evening Possible after school project weather) Wednesday 14th November Cash in Euro

Visit to Our Lady of Lourdes Community Centre and Pre-school 9.00 am-1.00 pm Comfortable (Opportunity to work in various classes for the morning) clothes/shoes

1.00 pm Lunch in Sit’n’Sip Café, pay as you go Rain-gear (depending on 2.00 pm Afternoon visit to Southill Area Centre. weather)

Thursday 15th November

Visit to the Model School (Irish immersion elementary school) 9.00am

11.30pm Visit to the Catherine McAuley Special Needs School

1.00pm Lunch at farmer’s market on campus, pay as you go

2.00pm-4.00pm Afternoon lecturers at MIC

Evening Social event with MIC Students’ Union and International Society

Friday 16th November Comfortable 9.00am Visit to St Michael's Protestant School clothes/shoes

Rain-gear 11.30pm Visit to the Project School (multi-denominational) (depending on weather)

2.00pm-4.00pm Afternoon visit to Lough Gur heritage site.

Saturday 17th November Bus departs for Kilkenny – lecture on Medieval History on the bus 9.00am with Dr Ursula O’Callaghan.

11.00am Bus park at Ghost tour @11:30am depart from Lannigan’s, Castle, walk to followed by finger food Lannigan’s 1.00pm – meet outside Talk with Dr Ursula O’Callaghan and then free to explore Kilkenny on Kilkenny Castle own, including option to visit Kilkenny Castle and gardens. Get dinner wherever you choose.

Bus pick up at 6.00pm. Arrival at Courtbrack at 8.30pm 6.00pm bus leaves from Kilkenny Castle

Sunday 18th November

Morning on own

Volunteering at Sunday dinners 12 .00pm-4.00pm

4.00pm Evening on own

Optional night time Traditional music event: Dolan’s

Monday 19th November Taxis/Bus to train station Train from Limerick to 7.40am arriving to Dublin at 10.00am at 7.15am

Possible tour of Irish Parliament and possible meet and greet with Morning Higher Education Authority of Ireland

11.00am Tour of the 1916 exhibit in the GPO

Hop on hop off bus tour of Dublin( day on own to explore Dublin City, 12.00pm get off at Heuston train station for train at 8.00pm)

Afternoon Lunch on own suggested around O’ Connell Street/Grafton Street pay as you go Afternoon Walk around Grafton Street shops and St Stephen’s Green Afternoon Recommend visits to various parts of Dublin (Dublin Castle, , Book of Kells, Temple Bar, National Art Gallery) Evening Dinner on own and, pay as you go 8.00pm Train back to Limerick

Wednesday 21st November Visit to St Vincent Special Ed. School 10.00 am 12.00 pm Lunch in , pay as you go Bus to Blue Box – Art Therapy and Music Therapy Centre –talk, tour 1.00pm-3.00pm and activities with CEO then coach back to hotel

Thursday 22nd November Morning lecturers at MIC 9.00am Lunch 12.00pm

Afternoon in Bunratty Castle & Folk Park 1.00pm Recommend dinner in Durty Nelly’s Evening

Friday 23rd November 9.00am Depart hotel for, Ring of Kerry, including stop off and time in Killarney

9.30am-10.30am Visit local primary school in Killarney

10.30am Bus departs for Ring of Kerry tour

5.00pm Return to hotel

Saturday 24th November

Departure Coach to Shannon Airport
