 Responsible for the daily operation of the Department of Community and Regional Planning (DCRP) and providing leadership toward the achievement of the highest possible level of excellence in the teaching, research and service activities of three program studies in the Department of Community and Regional Planning o Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning (BSUP)

o Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies (BSLS) o Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP)  Responsible for preparing and proposing budget requests and for articulating the relationship between the budget and the department's strategic plan.  Responsible for assessment and accreditation reports for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Planning Accreditation Board  The establishment of the 4+1 BSUP/MURP program. This accelerated degree program was approved in Fall 2019. The program will enable academically qualified students to earn BSUP and MURP degrees sooner than they would in traditional program settings.  The establishment of the Crump Scholarship to provide scholarship to academically and financially qualified BSUP students. The scholarship was fully supported by the DCRP Alumni Association.  The DCRP had successfully hosted the Benjamin Banneker Banquet as the fundraising and social event for DCRP alumni in February 21, 2019 and February 20, 2020.  The DCRP had successfully hosted the Annual Urban Planning Conference at Alabama A&M University in February 2019 and February 2020. More than 25 presenters from various universities and planning departments presented their study at the conference each year. The annual conference was also registered and approved by the American Planning Association for certification maintenance (CM) credits for the AICP holders.

Coordinator, Graduate Program in Urban Studies and Planning, Savannah State University, August 2007- August 2018 Some major accomplishments to the program:  The name change of the program from Urban Studies to Urban Studies and Planning. The change was approved by the Board of Regents on October 19, 2009. The change is to meet an accreditation precondition stipulated by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB)  The change of the program of study from 36 credit hours to 48 credit hours. The change was approved by the SSU Graduate Council and the Faculty Senate in April 2015. The program has implemented the 48 credit-hours program since the Fall of 2015 semester. The change of the program of study is also to meet an accreditation precondition by the PAB.  The establishment of the Minor in Urban Studies and Planning. This minor was approved and offered to undergraduate students of Savannah State University since Fall 2013. The minor in Urban Studies and Planning is expected to be the pipeline for undergraduate students of Savannah State University to continue their study to the MSUSP program.  The creation of five new courses including Urban Planning Studio I, Urban Planning Studio II, Local Economic Development, Urban Environmental Justice, Savannah Policy and Planning Debates,  The program had successfully hosted the annual Urban Planning Conference six times since 2013. More than 60 planners and professionals from several states and 200 students of SSU and SCAD attended the conference every year. The annual conference was also registered and approved by the American Planning Association for certification maintenance (CM) credits for the AICP holders.  Featured in Impressions SSU’s Magazine. 2016.
