Coaching Staff EASTVIEW WRESTLING COACHING STAFF

Kurt Habeck – Head Coach Coach Kurt Habeck, a native of Winona, Minnesota, is in his 28th year of teaching social studies and coaching wrestling, football, and strength training. Kurt was a graduate of Augsburg College where he competed in wrestling and was a captain on the NCAA III National Championship Team. Individually, Kurt was a two-time MIAC Conference Champ and a NCAA III All-American and an Academic All-American. He was a varsity starter all four years as Augsburg placed eighth, third, second, and first nationally. Kurt met his wife, Shelly, at Augsburg. They have a 24-year-old daughter named Hannah, a 21-year-old son named Zachary, 18-year-old daughter named Erinn, and a 15- year-old son named Luke. Kurt and his family reside in Apple Valley. When not involved with school related activities, Kurt enjoys spending his time hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycle.

Josh Nelson – Assistant Coach Ron McClure – Assistant Coach Coach Josh Nelson is in his 13th year of coaching Coach Ron McClure is in his third year coaching at Eastview High School. Travis Lee – Assistant Coach Tristin Faust – Assistant Coach Coach Travis Lee, originally from Kensington, Coach Tristin Faust is in his second year as an MN, is in his 21st year as a math teacher and assistant wrestling coach at Eastview. He currently works at Eastview High School. He attended Mounds View High School, where he graduated from Pulaski High School in 2004. He was a two-time captain and four-year letter- was a two-time state qualifier for Wisconsin in winner. He continued wrestling in college at 2003 and 2004. He went on to play college St. John’s University, where he was a captain and football and graduated from the University of a two-time Academic All-American. He teaches Wisconsin River Falls in 2008. During his free time English as a Second Language at Eastview High he enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with School. He is married to Brittany and has a son his wife, Krista, son, Nick, and twin daughters, named Milo. He enjoys spending time with Kylie and Kali. friends and family. Favorite hobbies include exercising (yoga, weight lifting), riddles, jokes, and card games (Buck Euchre and Cribbage).
