Colorful Harvest makes beautiful music for Lifting Lives

Colorful Harvest, one of the fastest growing produce companies on the West Coast, is holding an online auction of a Musical Harvest strawberry guitar to benefit the Academy of Country Music's charity Lifting Lives. The custom-built guitar was signed by award-winning country artists at the recent ACM Awards show in Las Vegas, including Scotty McCreery (ACM 2012 new artist of the year), The Eli Young Band (ACM 2012 song of the year), Sarah Evans (2011 Country Music Association female vocalist of the year) and many others.

The charity guitar auction is open to all and is being held on the Colorful Harvest Facebook page, ending June 17.

A Musical Harvest cowboy boot guitar was also donated by Colorful Harvest to the ACM at the 2012 awards show, which earned the Lifting Lives charity over $3,200 in a previous online auction. "Our goal is to top the ACM's fundraising with the support of our produce industry fan base," Doug Ranno, COO of Colorful Harvest, said in a press release. "Agriculture and country music share the same roots, so it makes sense to team up for a good cause."

Lisa Huddleston of the Academy of Country Music said, "ACM Lifting Lives is dedicated to improving lives through the power of music, and Colorful Harvest, who is equally as dedicated to giving back to charitable initiatives, has become a wonderful bridge between our organization and the produce industry."

Colorful Harvest fundraising with Musical Harvest-themed guitars has benefited a number of other organizations, including The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), The San Francisco Junior Giants and The Florida Strawberry Growers Association-Rod Hutto Memorial Scholarship.
