2018 CATEGORY 2018 WEEKLY NOTES LEADERS BROOKS BREAKS OUT BATTING AVERAGE Olivia Brooks enjoyed a breakout week at the plate against MVC oppo- Player GP/GS Avg. nents. The left-handed swinger broke out with 10 base hits in 14 at-bats, Brittney Roby 44/44 .412 while also scoring four runs and tacking on an RBI. Brooks finished HITS with more hits this week than she had her entire freshman season. The Player GP/GS Hits Brittney Roby 44/44 63 sophomore outfielder raised her batting average more than 100 points during the week. EXTRA-BASE HITS Player GP/GS Extra-Base Hits Sammey Bunch 44/44 14 PANTHERS TURN IT AROUND RUNS After suffering a five-game conference losing streak, the Panthers Player GP/GS Runs were able to bounce back against Indiana State, with two consecutive Brittney Roby 44/44 26 wins over the Sycamores, including a comeback win on Saturday. The WALKS Cats will look to hand the Drake Bulldogs their first conference loss of Player GP/GS Walks Kennedy Bailey 43/42 20 the season on Tuesday evening, in Des Moines.

STEALS Player GP/GS Steals TOUGH AS NAILS Brittney Roby 44/44 11 Brittney Roby ranks as the seventh hardest player to strikeout in the HOME RUNS nation, and the hardest so strikeout in the MVC. This season, Roby has Player GP/GS Home Runs struck out only three times in 153 at-bats. This week, Roby went to the Sammey Bunch 44/44 5 plate 19 times, and struck out only once while compiling eight hits.
