The “2011 Super Cub summer Passport” booklets handed out at the Council Roundtable are proving popular with many of the District’s Cub Packs, not only providing opportunities for boys and families to stay engaged in Scouting fun through the summer, but supporting their spring/summer recruiting efforts.

The Passport booklet is filled with 24 fun activities that can be accomplished by families or dens, giving Cubs a way to earn a patch and achievements toward their next rank. Cubs can work toward the Super, Super-Duper, and Extreme Cub Summer Awards. The activities are around four themes designed to give Cubs a better understanding of himself and his surroundings, with little or no cost. The Summer Passport is available not only to current Scouts but also to new Scouts.

Earl Eckbold, District Executive, encourages you to put one in the hand of every boy who comes to your Spring Recruiting event. “We’ll print as many as you need to support your pack and your Spring Recruiting activities,” Earl says. Once the Cub has completed his activities, complete the last page in the booklet and send it in to Chester County Council; Earl is looking forward to receiving them!
