The second Research Facts & Key figures CAN 2012 showed a slight decrease due to the fact that National teams of Cameroon, Nigeria, Togo, Benin were not qualified for the 2012 edition (teams with more than 60% of players playing in Europe). The 2013 Edition confirmed the trend of the 2010 Edition with the majority of players playing with clubs in Europe.
