    Zgodovina Rokometnega kluba Celje Rokometni klub Celje – najuspešnejši slovenski športni klub Rokometni klub Celje sodi med najuspešnejše celjske in slovenske športne klube. V svoji bogati, več kot 70 – letni športni zgodovini, je nanizal številne uspehe, ki so zaznamovali Celje, kot tudi Slovenijo. V nadaljevanju vam ponujamo pregled delovanja tega velikega športnega kolektiva, ki je in bo zaznamoval šport v Celju in okolici. V obdobju bivše skupne države celjski rokometni klub ni posegal po najvišjih mestih, četudi je trikrat nastopal v finalu jugoslovanskega pokala. Predvsem ga je zaznamovala odlična šola rokometa, ki je celjske mladince večkrat postavila na sam vrh. Prav odlično delo je tisto, ki je vedno predstavljalo izjemne osnove za uspehe in razvoj športa ter rokometa v Celju. Največji uspehi kluba so prišli po osamosvojitvi Slovenije, ko je se je Rokometni klub Celje Pivovarna Slika 1 – Pokal, ki krasi celjske Laško postavil na veliki zemljevid Evrope, v lastni državi pa povsem vitrine in trofeja, ki je nima zavladal rokometnemu prostoru in nanizal uspehe, ki jih bo težko noben drug slovenski športni kolektiv ponovil katerikoli športni klub.
