THE WINDOW PROJECT The Window Project presents - Jan Banning - Down and Out in the South, in conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography. A Dutch photographer whose scope includes a global look at power, governments, and the effects of war, Jan Banning has recently been photographing in the US to produce a documentary project on the Southeast's homeless population. Utilizing a time-honored portrait style that recalls 17th-century Dutch painting, Banning's portraits reveal the homeless not for what they lack, but for who they are.
