Words Of By David Burcham Wood County Encouragement Pastor - Harvest Acres Baptist Church, Mineola, TX Automatic Gas The Apostle Paul said in Philippians 3 that he always “pressed on” in his spiritual life. We must move forward in all areas of our lives if we are to be successful and happy. I found the following very interesting: KƉĞƌĂƟŶŐ^ŝŶĐĞϭϵϱϮ The Australian coat of arms pictures two creatures; the emu, a flightless bird, and the kangaroo. The animals were chosen because they share a ZĞƐŝĚĞŶƟĂůΘŽŵŵĞƌĐŝĂů characteristic that appealed to the Australian citizens. Both the emu and the kangaroo can move only forward, not back. The emu’s three-toed foot ZŽƵƚĞĞůŝǀĞƌŝĞƐ causes it to fall if it tries to go backwards, and the kangaroo is prevented from moving in reverse by its large tail. Those who truly choose to follow Jesus become like the emu and kangaroo, moving only forward, never back. Propane We should practice three things to move forward: 1.) Daily devotions 2.) Church attendance and 3.) Forgiving and serving others. Jesus said in Luke 9:62 Store Hours that “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of Heaven.” Monday - Friday | 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. What a challenge!
