MEDIA GUIDE Dear Hockey Fans! Today, Probably As Never Before, We Need Your Support MEDIA GUIDE Dear hockey fans! Today, probably as never before, we need your support. We really had a hard season, in which we failed to fulfill our main task – promotion to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. But we shouldn’t sprinkle ashes upon our heads. We need to move on, learning from mistakes and building a strong team, capable of meeting the most difficult challenges. With all this, we are on the right way. A new young team is being formed. Great prospects are open before the young talented players, for whom the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will become their first one for the national team. During the recent exhibition games they have already proved what they worth. Andrei SKABELKA Team Belarus Head Coach Our team is ready for the World Championship both physically and psychologically. We had a good training camp, during which we fulfilled everything what we had planned. And now we need to bring everything what we have learned to life and show what we are capable of. I can’t promise to win every match, but I promise that all our players will do their best to make it. GROUPS The 16 teams are divided into two groups for the Preliminary Round.
