DOMESTIC FLASH FLOODS

1. ÇANKIRI PROVINCE KIZILIRMAK DISTRICT FLOOD

Summary:

As a result of excessive rainfall, 28 tents where seasonal workers stayed in the Kızılırmak district of Çankırı province were flooded and approximately 350 people were affected.

Following the news of the disaster, the Turkish Red Crescent Disaster Management Directorate and Çankırı Branch became alarmed and disaster response activities were initiated. There are 10 personnel / volunteers from the Çankırı Branch and 2 vehicles in the field.

2. PROVINCE GÖLMARMARA DISTRICT TİYENLİ NEIGHBORHOOD FLOOD

Summary:

On 16.06.2019, Tiyenli neighborhood of Gölmarmara district of was flooded due to heavy rainfall and approximately 50 people were affected. After the disaster news was received, the Disaster Management Directorate and the Aegean Regional Disaster Management Center alarmed and disaster response activities were initiated. There were 6 personnel and 4 vehicles from Aegean Regional Disaster Management Center who carried out that activities. Conducted Activities:

3. PROVINCE DISTRICT HİMMETDEDE NEIGHBORHOOD FLOOD

Summary:

On 19.06.2019, as a result of excessive rainfall in the Kocasinan district of , Himmetdede neighborhood, 14 tents of seasonal workers were flooded and about 80 people were affected. Following the news of the disaster, the Disaster Management Directorate, the Mediterranean Regional Disaster Management Center and Kayseri Branch became alerted and disaster response activities were initiated. There were 4 personnel and 1 vehicle from the Kayseri Branch who carried out that activities. Conducted Activities:

4. DÜZCE PROVINCE GÖLYAKA DISTRICT FLOOD Summary:

On 18.06.2019, Düzce provınce Gölyaka district was flooded as a result of excessive rainfall, 8 households (34 persons) were affected by floods. Following the news of the disaster, the Disaster Management Directorate, the West Region Disaster Management Center and the Düzce Branch became alarmed and disaster response activities were initiated. 7 personnel and 3 vehicles from West Disaster Management Center and 9 volunteers from Düzce Branch were carried out the activities.

5. DISTRICT FLOOD

Summary:

Flood occurred in Etimesgut district of Ankara on 09.06.2019 due to excessive rainfall and many neighborhoods were affected. Following the news of the disaster, Disaster Management Directorate became alarmed and disaster response activities have been initiated. There were 15 personnel and 7 vehicles from Disaster Management Directorate who carried out that activities. 6. PROVINCE ARAKLI DISTRICT EXPLOSION OF HYDROELECTRİC POWER PLANT (HEPP) PİPE Summary:

On 18.06.2019, the flood caused by the explosion of the hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) pipe in Araklı district of 14 people were rescued alive and 7 people died. 4 people who were rescued as wounded were taken to hospital. Following the news of the disaster, the Disaster Management Directorate, Northeast Regional Disaster Management Center, Trabzon Local Disaster Management Center and Trabzon Branch Directorate became alarmed and disaster response activities were initiated.

2 personnel and 2 vehicles from Northeast Anatolia Regional Disaster Management Center, 7 personnel and 2 vehicles from Trabzon Local Disaster Management Center (1 pioneer and 1 catering vehicle), 2 personnel, 8 volunteers and 1 vehicle from Trabzon Branch Directorate, are operating in the area.
