ITEM DESCRIPTION PERSON 1 Welcome and Introductions All present were welcomed to the public meeting, the EAP was introduced Mr. Siyere and the Agenda for the meeting confirmed. 2 Purpose of Meeting -The meeting was opened and all consultants present were introduced. Mr. SBalake Attending members were requested to introduce themselves. Mr. Tendai -A consultation meeting register was circulated for attendance records. Kasinganeti -Mr. Kasinganeti explained the rational of the meeting and how important the EIA Consultation process is to sustainable development. -The Environmental Impact Assessment process in Namibia according to the EM Act and its regulations was explained to the members in attendance and the importance of their participation in relation to the proposed development. 3 Background and overview of the project • Project site was shown on A3 Maps that were distributed prior meeting. Mr. Tendai • BID documents also distributed around that was briefing the proposed Kasinganeti development, EIA procedure and anticipated impacts. • All anticipated changes to the environment as a result of the project were thoroughly discussed by the consultant so that the community members would understand the implications of the project in both positive and negative angles. • The period of implementation for the project was explained, in relation to what has been done, what is being done and what is remaining for the future. • There was emphasis that the consultant will be part of monitoring during construction and operation of the proposed development • The preliminary findings by the consultant indicated that the project’s positive impacts will outweigh the anticipated negative impacts

16 June 2015 Management Summary

Telecom and Shakambu joint survey/investigation in the Telecom were contacted by the Shakambu Farmers Association, Hannes Balzar and Alfons Siyere, requesting the Telecom Namibia to provide Voice and Data services at Ncaute, Baramasoni and Okavango Region kapupahedi and surrounding areas in the Okavango Region.

The Shakambu Association indicated that the following areas are a priority; Coverage should be address in the first go around the town and villages of - Ncaute, Baramasoni and Kapupahedi. Telecom and Shakambu Chairman(Alfons Siyere) conducted a joint survey, investigation and the following areas were visited;  Ncaute  Baramasoni Village  Shakambu Fish Pond  Kapupahedi Village Note - In this Presentation, 2 towers were considered for coverage the areas (2 sites / towers). In order to provide coverage to all mentioned places, 2x towers in total will be needed.
