GWERNYMYNYDD - SETTLEMENT SERVICE AUDIT Settlement Commentary is a large village situated adjacent the Clwydian Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village is closely associated with the town of Mold and is very close to the village of . Gwernymynydd is an elongated settlement set around the A494 as it rises into the Clwydian hills, its built form is reasonably well defined. The village has limited service provision and residents will be dependent upon services available in Mold.

Broadband Provision According to the latest OFCOM data (2013) Gwernymynydd post codes (where data is available) have a median average broadband range of 2.6-8.3 mega-bytes per second with most postcodes having 4.5 mbps. This is a very poor standard of broadband provision which will adversely impact the ability of local residents and businesses alike whether in undertaking day to day business activities or in accessing online services such as banking, post office services or online shopping.
