NDTA 2008 • Zone 3 • Feilding NDTA 2008 • Zone 3 • Feilding Welcome

On behalf of the Executive Council of the New Zealand I welcome you all to the 2008 National Dog Training Assembly. Nestle Purina PetCare are again the principal sponsor for this event and we extend to them our sincerest appreciation for their continued participation and support. We extend a warm welcome to all our Judges across all disciplines. The event this year has been in the planning stages for many months and our sincerest appreciation is extended to Zone Three, the Organising Committee and all those who have volunteered their time and services to make this the success it will undoubtedly be. Manfield Park, Feilding is a magnificent venue to hold our premier training event of the year and we are fortunate in securing it. To the many competitors who have travelled the length and breadth of the Country to be here, we extend our special appreciation. Over the next three days many hours of competition lay before us and I take this opportunity of wishing all competitors in all disciplines the very best of luck.

John Perfect President New Zealand Kennel Club

On behalf of the NDTA 2008 committee I would like to welcome you to the old Zone 3 and to Feilding in the new Manfeild Park complex. Our theme for this year is Zones of Old. I hope it will bring back lots of memories of NDOA/NDTA’s of the past. It may even be nostalgic for quite a few of you to see how the years have changed us! We have an amazing number of entries in all disciplines this year which will make this a busy weekend for everyone. We have a full schedule of the regular events, Obedience, Agility, Trials & Heel Work to Music. We have also included the YKC Obedience, YKC Agility, Rally O and Agility Games. There really is something for everyone young and old, dogs large and small, to participate in. This year we have organised the agility to be run indoors and the obedience outside on the Monday so we can all share in the good, and bad, weather that may fall upon us. The committee has organised all the inter Zone competitions to be held together indoors on Sunday. Obedience, Agility and some of the Trials will be conducted throughout the day. This will enable everyone to come and support your old zone and give your team lots of support. This weekend would not be possible without the enormous amount of work, effort and time put in by the committee. They have done an amazing job putting this event together, thank you all for your great work. We wish everyone a happy, enjoyable and safe time at Manfeild. Robyn How Chairperson NDTA 2008

On Paws Agility Equipment

On Paws Agility Equipment is owned and operated by Jason Hughes and Mel Mankelow. We both compete with our three dogs Bailey, Indi and Breeze in Agility and can be often found some where around the North Island most weekends competing.

We manufacture good quality light weight Agility equipment that is easy to move around.

We sell light weight Aluminium contact gear which is very light, sturdy and easy to move around the rings, all our gear comes rubber chipped to your colour choices. We can add detail to the contact gear such as sponsors names or logos.

Our hoop jump is our own design and has been made to come apart if the dog does not negotiate it correctly. The frame of the hoop jump is constructed from lightweight steel in a galvanised finish meaning no rust or painting required. The framework of the jumps comes apart into three separate pieces making for easy flat storage.

Our weaves are made out of metal and come in a galvanised finish. They come complete with poles and pegs; you can either have 20mm diameter poles which fit inside the bases or 30mm diameter poles which fit over the bases.

The weaves come in three equal pieces with the middle piece being interchangeable to afford any problems, they join together with an over lapping joint

All of our equipment is made to the New Zealand Kennel Club Agility Regulations. We are here at the NDTA this weekend. Come and have a chat to us about our Agility equipment. www.onpawsagility.com [email protected] 07 323 7239
