THE MINISTER OF STATE OF THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF WATER RESOURCES, RIVER DEVELOPMENT AND GANGA REJUVENATION(SHRI VIJAY GOEL): Narsingh Pancham Yadav won bronze medal in 2015 World Wrestling Championship. By virtue of this Medal, he won a quota place for India in 74 Kg freestyle wrestling event in Olympic 2016 to be held at Rio, Brazil. Indian Premier League 2019
VVS LAXMAN Published 3.4.19 The last ten days have reiterated just how significant a place the Indian Premier League has carved for itself on the crickeng landscape. Spectacular acon and stunning performances have brought the tournament to life right from the beginning, and I expect the next six weeks to be no less gripping. From our point of view, I am delighted at how well Hyderabad have bounced back from defeat in our opening match, against Kolkata. Even in that game, we were in control ll the end of the 17th over of the chase, but Andre Russell took it away from us with brilliant ball-striking. Even though I was in the opposion dugout, I couldn’t help but marvel at how he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. The beauty of our franchise is that the shoulders never droop, the heads never drop. There is too much experience, quality and class among the playing group for that to happen. As members of the support staff, our endeavour is to keep the players in a good mental space. But eventually, it is the players who have to deliver on the park, and that’s what they have done in the last two games. David Warner has been outstanding. There is lile sign that he has been out of internaonal cricket for a year. His work ethics are exemplary, and I can see the hunger and desire in his eyes. He is striking the ball as beaufully as ever, and there is a calmness about him that is infecous. -
OG 16/025 2 WADA V
Tribunal Arbitral du Sport Court of Arbitration for Sport Arbitration CAS ad hoc Division (OG Rio) 16/025 World Anti Doping Agency (WADA) v. Narsingh Yadav & National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), award of 21 August 2016 (operative part of 18 August 2016) Panel: Mr Mark Hovell (United Kingdom), President; Mr Jinwon Park (South Korea); Mrs Andrea Carska-Sheppard (Czech Republic) Wrestling Doping (methandienone) Time when the dispute arises Dispute “in connection with” the Olympic Games Type and weighing of evidence 1. When WADA is challenging with the ad hoc Division the decision of a national anti- doping organisation’s anti-doping body to exonerate an athlete from the charges of violating the anti-doping rules of the national anti-doping organisation, it is the day of that decision that triggers the time when the dispute arises. It is not the date of the out- of-competition testing that led to the decision or of the decision to provisionally suspend the athlete. 2. The decision to exonerate an athlete from the charges of violating the anti-doping rules of the national anti-doping organisation and to allow him or her to participate in the Olympic Games is clearly “in connection with” the Olympic Games. 3. A CAS panel can accept both circumstantial evidence and witness evidence and, indeed, other evidence, but it is for the panel to determine what weight to attach to all the evidence before it and the panel can only be guided by the evidence proffered by each party in support of its case. 1. PARTIES 1.1 The Applicant is the World Anti-Doping Agency (“WADA”), based in Montreal, Canada, the organisation responsible for anti-doping in the world. -
