Newsonair Radio Live-Stream Global Rankings Marathi AIR Service 8/6/21, 3:36 PM Press Information Bureau Press Information Bureau Government of India Ministry of Information & Broadcasting NewsOnAir Radio Live-Stream Global Rankings Marathi AIR Service popular in Europe, Fiji gains over UK Posted On: 06 AUG 2021 2:38PM by PIB Delhi In the latest rankings of top countries in the world (excluding India) where All India Radio Live- streams on NewsOnAir App are most popular, Fiji has displaced UK to take the third position while United States and Australia continue to be the top 2. In major changes in rankings of top AIR streams globally (excluding India), AIR Kochi FM Rainbow is the new entry in top 10 and AIR Tamil has made a comeback, while AIR Punjabi and Rainbow Kannada Kaamanbilu are out. AIR Kodaikanal has slipped from 6th to 9th spot, while AIR News 24*7 has moved up a notch to 6th position. In ranking of countries (excluding India) for the Top AIR streams, Vividh Bharati continues to be the most favourite in all top 10 countries. AIR News 24*7 is quite popular in India’s neighbouring countries Nepal and Bhutan. Marathi Service of All India Radio, Asmita Mumbai, has quite a following in the European countries of Sweden, Germany, UK and Ireland. More than 240 Radio Services of All India Radio are live-streamed on NewsOnAir App, Prasar Bharati’s official App. These All India Radio Streams on NewsOnAir App have a large number of listeners not just in India, but globally, in more than 85 countries and 8000 cities across the globe. In respect of the accessible news, the formulated standards prescribe that the private News broadcasters may start with daily sign language news bulletins, effective 16.09.2019, with facilitation from Doordarshan which may provide its sign language news bulletin free of cost to the private news broadcasters till 31.12.2020, during which time private news broadcasters may develop their capacity to produce their sign language news bulletins.

For the third day in a row, the last 24 hours have recorded another high with 34,602 patients recovering. This has strongly boosted the recovery rate to reach a new high of 63.45% among COVID-19 patients.As a result of these constantly growing number of recoveries, the recovered patients outnumber the active cases (4,40,135 today) by 3,77,073. This difference is showing a progressively growing upward trend.the recoveries are improving and case fatality is continuously falling, which currently stands at 2.38%. More than 1 lakh (1,01,468) new recoveries have been registered in the last 24 hours in the country. In another landmark achievement, the trend of very high number of single day recoveries has sustained for the past four consecutive days. With this, the total number of recoveries are nearly 45 lakh (44,97,867). This has resulted in the Recovery Rate touching 80.86%. 79% of the new recovered cases are being reported from ten States/UTs, viz. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Delhi, Kerala, West Bengal and Punjab. Maharashtra continues to lead with more than 32,000 (31.5%) new recovered patients. Andhra Pradesh contributed more than 10,000 to the single day recoveries. India’s landmark achievement of recording the maximum number of recoveries has positioned it as the top country globally. Case Fatality Rate (CFR) currently stands at 1.59%.

OBJECTIVES The major objectives of Prasar Bharati as laid out in the Prasar Bharati Act, 1990 are as follows:- i) To uphold the unity, integrity of the country and the values enshrined in the Constitution. ii) To promote national integration. iii) To safeguard the citizen’s right to be informed on all matters of public interest and presenting a fair and balanced flow of information. iv) To pay special attention to the fields of education and spread of literacy, agriculture, rural development, environment, health & family welfare and science & technology. v) To create the awareness about women’s issues and to take special steps to protect the interests of the children, the aged and other vulnerable sections of the society. vi) To provide adequate coverage to the diverse cultures, sports & games and the youth affairs. vii) To promote social justice, safeguarding the rights of working classes, minorities and tribal communities.
