MATEUSZ KUSZNIEREWICZ Meet our Ambassador

Mateusz Kusznierewicz – born in 1975 in Warsaw, Polish sports sailor, two-time Olympic medallist (gold in Atlanta in 1996, bronze in in 2004), two-time individual world champion in the class (1998, 2000) and current world champion in the class (2019) in the same discipline also won gold 7 years earlier (2012). Multiple individual European and Polish champion. The winner of podium places in the most prestigious regions of the world, including the , Queen Sofia Cup and Palm Vel. Last year, in a duo with the Brazilian off the coast of Sardinia, he once again reached for the title of World Champion in the Star class.

Apart from numerous sporting successes, Mateusz Kusznierewicz is also involved in social and business activities. As he said himself: „Although has been and is my greatest passion, in the long run being just an athlete is not enough for me. I have always been curious about the world and I wanted to try myself in more and more initiatives. As soon as I came back from the London Games, I entered the world of business and new technologies.” 05 „In life and sport, I value commitment and passion”

As a sailor, he is also the General Director of the SSL Gold Cup Sailing World Cup and the originator of the Gdańsk Marine Education Programme, as well as the organiser of many conferences, trainings and sports events. He is a Warsaw citizen by birth, a Gdańsk citizen by choice.
