On 9 December 2019, the Kahriz Research and Information Center established by
International Organization for Migration and the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University within the KOICA-funded project ‘Integrated Rural Development for IDP Communities in Azerbaijan through Revitalization of Kahriz Water Supply System’ has been opened. The Center is the unique specialized place for collecting, researching and disseminating the information, knowledge and experiences on kahriz systems.

On 30 December 2019, representatives of IOM Mission to Azerbaijan visited the shelter of Azerbaijan Children Union and met with Mrs. Kemale Aghazade, head of the Union and the staff of the shelter.
The IOM Azerbaijan has so far renovated several shelters for victims of human trafficking, victims of human trafficking and domestic violence in the capital and regions, including this shelter.
