Has 2014 been a year of growth for your business?

If so, the Chamber would like to know about it! During the Chamber's Quarterly Membership Luncheon, we want to recognize the existing businesses that have grown over the past year. If your company has added employees and/or made a capital investment, let the Chamber office know about it by completing the form below, e-mailing us at [email protected] or by calling the Chamber office (970-242-3214).

Oftentimes we celebrate when a new company comes to town and fail to acknowledge and thank those businesses that are already here and continuing to make investments in our community. Jobs created by local companies have the same economic impact as those imported to the community and the increased tax base created by investments of existing firms have the same benefits to local citizens as new companies moving here.

For the past eighteen years, the Chamber has given awards to expanding companies to publicly thank and recognize those firms who have continued to reinvest in Grand Junction. If you have questions, contact Diane at 970-242-3214 or [email protected].

New Chamber Benefit: Make My Data Day!

The Grand Junction Area Chamber is pleased to team up with the Mesa County Library Business Connect program to offer our members a new service that can help them with their marketing efforts. Beginning November 19th and continuing every third Wednesday in 2015 businesses can stop by the Chamber office between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. to visit with Trish about how to more keenly focus their marketing efforts and identify customers. Following that session, the Mesa County Library research staffers will help develop a target list of customers with their contact information utilizing the RefUSA database. Participants will leave the Chamber office with a clearer understanding of their customers and how to reach them along with a list of who they are…and it is ALL FREE thanks to this unique partnership. For more information or to schedule a specific time for this service, contact Trisha at 970.263.2912 or [email protected].

Cash Mob Morphs to Care Mob! Our members have been wonderful in supporting the businesses selected for our cash mobs in past months, The Baker’s Boutique, Johnson’s House of Flowers, Alida’s and A Country Cupboard. We thank you. With the holidays upon us beginning this month, the Chamber is initiating a month long “Care Mob.” Home Loan, KREX and the Chamber will be drop off locations between November 19th and December 15th for donations of non- perishable food items that will go to Catholic Outreach or a small toy that will go to The Salvation Army. While the name and beneficiary has changed for the next month, the reason we do these as a mob has not. Remember - if we each do a little, we all do a lot! Please do your part to help between November 19th and December 15th. NOVEMBER 2014 WWW.GJCHAMBER.ORG 6
