The Board met pursuant to call of County Clerk Susan Kaltenbach at 5:00 p.m. County Clerk Susan Kaltenbach served as Acting Chair pending the election of a Temporary Chair. She announced that pursuant to Article I of the Rules of the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners, on the first business day in January each year the election of permanent Chair and Vice Chair shall be the first order of business. Deputy Clerk Suzy Koepplinger took roll and a quorum was present as follows: PRESENT: Bregitte K. Braddock, Ann M. Doyle, Eddie F. Foxx, Cheryl M. Hadsall, Michael J. Hanley, Timothy P. Kelly, Kirk W. Kilpatrick, Dennis H. Krafft, Susan A. McInerney, Timothy M. Novak, Michael P. O’Hare, Carl E. Ruth, Ronald L. Sholtz, Robert M. Woods, Jr., Patrick A. Wurtzel - 15 ABSENT: - 0 TOTAL: - 15 Commissioner Woods opened the meeting with a prayer, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. CLERK'S CALL OF SESSION December 22, 2010 TO: SAGINAW COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RE: Notice of January 3, 2011 Board Session Honorable Commissioners: Pursuant to Article I of the 2010 Rules, the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners will convene for its organizational meeting on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers, Second Floor - Room 200, Saginaw County Governmental Center, Saginaw, Michigan. The Board will elect the Chair and Vice Chair for the ensuing year. -

Pierson graduated from Delta College with an Associates in General Studies and an Associates Community Sharing... in Arts. He then graduated from Saginaw Valley P LB1 State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree where he majored in Communications and Political Science. He is a proud member of Mt. Olive Institutional Baptist Church where Pastor Marvin T. Smith is Senior Pastor. Lorenzo is best known by most as a concert and event promoter. As the C.E.O. of LP Lorenzo Pierson,CEO Entertainment, a promotion and film company, Congratulations Youth Empowerment Solutions he has organized and promoted nearly a hundred P 12 events, bringing artists such as Kirk Franklin, Shirley Caesar, Leandria Johnson, Mighty Clouds “If you live long enough, you’ll make mis- of Joy, Lee Williams and many, many more to the takes. What stood out about the two officers, in addition to their being friendly and talkative, one was Black and one was White. To understand why the Saginaw Negro Community, decided to organize the NAACP Branch on July 13, 1919 at Bethel AME Church. The NAACP Charter, Saginaw Branch, was granted on August 25, 1919. The first President was Rev. Peter S. Marks, of Bethel AME Church. Congratulations! The purpose was to give the families a chance to meet with each other and discuss their problems in P LB1 Saginaw, as the NAACP would help them to have a Leola Wilson better community. This is why the Saginaw Branch continues in the By Leola Wilson, President fight for equal justice. There must be fairness and NAACP, Saginaw Branch equality in every aspect of our community; housing, Saginaw - It was fifteen years ago, when three education, employment, voting requirements, healthcare, generations of my family made the drive to Panama all civic engagement. -
