With the pathway out of lockdown continuing, and schools open and operating as near to normal as possible, now, more than ever, we are called to pray. Please see below our termly prayer calendar for the summer term. As events unfold this term, we trust in God for His continued direction, provision and protection for this work. 22/23 End of Pray for Schools Fortnight. 24 Please pray as we release our ‘It’s Your Move’ digital resource pack to primary schools to support Year 6 pupils preparing to move to secondary schools. 25 Please pray for Holly and Fiona supporting students pastorally at Shenfield School. 26 Please pray that the filming of our next assembly video for primary schools will go smoothly this week. Please also pray for Secondary School Assembly planning and writing this week. 27 Please pray for the online messages being sent to encourage members of the Christian Union at Shenfield School. 28 Please give thanks for all the opportunities the team have had to support our local schools this half term. 1 Please pray for Frances in her role as Chaplain supporting students pastorally at St Martin’s School. 2 We give thanks for technology which has enabled BSCWT to record assemblies to be circulated online for schools. 3/4 5 Please join with us to pray and give thanks for the work of BSCWT in our schools. Our Annual Celebration event would normally take place around now (please look out for announcements nearer the time as to how this will be presented). 6 Please pray for all who volunteer with BSCWT and give thanks for their willingness to be a part of our work. 7 Please pray for the ‘Prayer Space’ days we hope to be able to provide at Shenfield St. Mary’s Primary School this month. 8 We give thanks for Ian in his role as Director of Schools Work leading our staff team and Associate Workers through a difficult and challenging year. 9 We give thanks for the Trustees and Support Teams working tirelessly behind the scenes enabling the Trust to continue serving the schools. 10/11 12 Please pray for all those moving to further education, college, university or work in September. Please also pray for all school students and staff members who are moving to new schools in September. 13 We pray for Head Teachers, Senior Leadership Teams and Governors in all the difficult decisions and extra responsibilities they have had to deal with this year. 14 Please pray for all the Year 6 pupils soon to leave primary school and start at secondary school. 15 Please pray for our planning for next term, that we may have clarity for where God is leading. 16 Please pray that our staff team as they meet for a ‘retreat’ in some capacity to give thanks to God for the year and to reflect and pray together. 17/18 19 We praise God for his goodness and faithfulness directing and sustaining the work of BSCWT in our local schools once again this year and especially during the lockdowns. 20 Please pray for all the ‘seeds’ that have been planted through our work with schools this year. 21 During what has been an challenging time for us all again this year, please pray for a blessed, safe and restful summer break for school staff, students and for all the BSCWT staff and volunteers.
