ROADS (WORKS, USE AND COMPENSATION) ORDINANCE (Chapter 370) (Notice under section 8(2)) PWP ITEM NO. 777 TH IMPROVEMENTS TO INTERCHANGE Notice is hereby given that under power delegated by the Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works under section 3(3) of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Chapter 370), the Permanent Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works (Environment and Transport) proposes to execute the road works as shown on Plans Nos. 95102/GAZ/100 to 95102/GAZ/103 (the ‘Plans’) and described in the scheme annexed thereto, which Plans and scheme have been deposited in the Land Registry. The general nature of the proposed works is as follows:— (i) construction of two elevated two lane slip roads of totally about 1.4 km in length from westbound Highway and northbound which will merge to form a four-lane carriageway and then connect to the existing vehicle holding area (the proposed slip roads A, B and F); (ii) construction of two at-grade slip roads connecting the Road and —Chau Tau to the elevated slip roads (the proposed slip roads C and E); (iii) realignment of the existing road connecting Castle Peak Road-San Tin and slip road from San Tin Highway (the proposed road D); (iv) widening of a section of Castle Peak Road; (v) construction of a 34 m long one-way single lane link bridge connecting the existing track to the San Tin Eastern Main Drainage Channel (EMDC) maintenance road (the proposed Bridge A); (vi) realignment of the EMDC maintenance road at its junction to San Tin Tsuen Road and Castle Peak Road; and (vii) ancillary works including construction of retaining walls, erection of noise barriers, drainage works, landscaping works, electrical and mechanical works and geotechnical works.
