(ROOM 109) 4:00 – 4:45PM CREATING A WEB-SERIES IN TODAY’S MARKET PLACE: SIMPLY, CREST The Internet and the advent of YouTube has created a huge platform for personal expression and creative exploration through the visual medium. But how does one create a structured outline to a full series of videos for the web? What is needed before your series can even be filmed? This panel looks to share insights and knowledge by using an in-development episode of a new series as an example. (ROOM 111) 5:00 – 5:45PM GETTING YOUR COMIC BOOKS SIGNED AND PROTECTING YOUR INVESTMENT Join David Roman and Mark Roman of CSA Comics as they discuss the growing popularity of getting comic books signed/autographed, how signed comics can increase the value of a comic box, and how having your signed comic book (or comic collectible) authenticated will help increase it’s value more... And help you properly insure it against theft or damage. It means mastering fundamental techniques that allow you to draw EVERYTHING well. And it means honing a personal style that helps convey the story across all genres. Gain a glimpse of the tips and tricks from Chrissie Zullo (Fables Are Forever; Hack/Slash: The Series; Cinderella), Angel Unzueta (Titans; The Flash; Green Lantern), and Bob McLeod (Spider-Man; X-Men; Superman; Batman; Wonder Woman), who do it all and discover drawing like you’ve never known before. In this panel, esteemed creators, Rob Prior (Spawn; Deep Space 9; Evil Ernie; Heavy Metal), Mark Poulton (Savage Hawkman; Avengelyne), and Shane Vidaurri (Iron: Or, The War After) describe how to overcome creative obstacles and share their keys to unleashing creativity. Join members of the Parsec-award winning team behind the online horror series HG World (and other series) as they discuss finding the right mix of talent and technology, how to write, cast, produce and market a quality audio production in the 21st century. (ROOM 109) 1 Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con 2013 Programming May 30th – June 2nd, 2013 8:00 – 10:30PM CON BRO CHILL CONCERT – VIP’S FREE – GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET AVAILABLE –ALL AGES Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con kicks off in grand musical style with Con Bro Chill (CBC) at the Trocadero Theatre, 1003 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19107. Free to VIP badge holders with a separate paid general admission ticket available. What started as a series of YouTube videos a few years ago has turned into what has been described as a “Power Party Pop group” and a “sweet party.” CBC is made up of four friends -- Connor Martin (Party Host/Keytar/Pro Lacrosse Player), SAMM (Lead Vox/Producer/Writer, current Maroon 5 single “Daylight,” tracks with TI, B.O.B., etc.), Ty Andre (Party/Art Director), and Steve Felts (Party Warrior/Art Demon) -- whose stated goal is to “slam people right in the face with the most mind blowing HAPPY you’ve ever experience.” (TROCADERO THEATRE, 1003 ARCH ST.) FRIDAY, MAY 31st 1:00 – 1:45PM GAM3R: BE AS FAMOUS AS THE GAMES YOU PLAY Join Psycho Crusher Productions and special guests as we screen episodes of our new web series "GAM3R" and discuss the recent trend of gamers attempting to turn their hobbies into careers. For some it's on the competitive scene, for others it's starting their own businesses. The common goal we all share, being as famous as the games we play. Psycho Crusher Productions has traveled the country for over 5 years documenting pro gamers, starting with our successful first feature documentary King of Chinatown. But what if you wanted to create manga art of your own? How do you go about it? Join Steiner Palomino, creator of New Era G, as he shares tips and tricks in helping you create your own manga style.
