Malaysia

Re-opening of immigration offices and counters Immigration Department of | 6 December 2020

All immigration offices and counters will re-open from 7 December 2020, with services provided on an appointment basis only.

Re-opening of Expatriate Services Division (ESD) Putrajaya and the Malaysia Expatriate Talent Service (MYXpats) Centre counter services Expatriate Services Division | 6 December 2020

Counter services at the ESD in Putrajaya and MYXpats Centre at Mutiara Damansara will resume operations from 7 December 2020 on an appointment basis only. No walk-ins are permitted.

Latest updates on the conditional movement control order (CMCO) Malay Mail | 5 December 2020

The CMCO will be extended to 20 December 2020 for Kuala Lumpur, Selangor (except Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, and Kuala Selangor), and Sabah.

However, the CMCO has ended for Putrajaya, Labuan, Penang (except for two sub-districts), Perak (except certain areas), (except , , Tanah Merah, and Pasir Mas), and Negri Sembilan (except Seremban, and Port Dickson). will not reintroduce the CMCO, but the four districts of Kota Tinggi, Johor Bahru, Batu Pahat, and Kulai will now be placed under the CMCO until 20 December 2020.

Locations where the CMCO has been lifted will be placed under the recovery movement control order (RMCO). The latest list of locations under both the CMCO and RMCO can be found here.

Vietnam

Automatic renewal of temporary residence for foreigners affected by COVID- 19 (Translated from Vietnamese) Ministry of Public Security | 2 December 2020

Foreigners who are unable to depart from Vietnam due to COVID-19 will be granted an automatic temporary stay extension until 30 December 2020. They will be required to complete a declaration of their temporary residence and health status for this automatic stay extension period.
