At each sample location 2-4 people will spend less than one-day collecting samples. Small surface soil disturbances to collect terrestrial plants with small hand tools. Dirt is removed from roots and put back where the plant was taken from. Invertebrates taken from the intertidal area are removed from the surface only, minimal digging by hand, and from a small sample area (less than 5 m2). A small volume of freshwater will be taken from non-domestic water sources (less than 5 litres).
