The staff proposed the annual budget based on its projected programs and activities for the upcoming year. The budget was approved by the Board of Directors, and requests for funding from local governments were granted.

Museum staff developed marketing and public relations materials for programs, exhibitions, museum events, and other activities throughout the year. Information and materials were distributed to local and regional newspapers, radio and television stations, web sites, social networking sites, and by direct mail and e-mail notices.

Effective management of the history museum operations provided stability, facilitated quality interpretive programming and exhibitions for the community, and enabled the preservation of material culture and traditions of the valley. The Board of Directors and the Executive Director provided the leadership and vision needed for the organization to fulfill its mission.

Opening the museum store required selection, ordering, and processing merchandise; designing and maintaining the store and the display windows; and conducting Fundraising and Development periodic inventory.
